Property code: SYLVA

Romantic cabin in a quiet, rural location, within walking distance of the village of Luxulyan, just one mile from the world-renowned Eden Project.

This cabin is the perfect place to come if you want to get away from it all, situated as it is in a quiet location in the picturesque Luxulyan Valley. Located within 7 acres of meadows and traditional broadleaf woodland with a quirky hobbit hamlet and bell tents and abundant wildlife and private interactive woodland trail. The cabin is situated in its own private garden with a beautiful aspect across the valley. The location of the cabin is off a country lane which also leads to The Treffry viaduct/aqueduct of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. The cabin lies 1 mile from Cornwall’s premier attraction The Eden Project and a little further afield, yet still within easy reach are The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the town of Newquay known for its beaches and surfing, and the pretty town of St Ives with its harbour, restaurants, and boutiques.

The magic starts as soon as you park your car, with a short level walk to the cabin through the woodland (wheelbarrows for belongings are provided for ease) leading you to the haven that awaits. On arrival at the property the open-plan lounge/diner is the main space in the cabin and is simply and tastefully decorated, in keeping with the general sense of calm here. The wood burner sits in the corner, keeping the whole place warm and cosy. The first basket of logs is provided and more can be bought from the owner who harvests them from the surrounding woodland, at a cost of £5 per bag. There is a TV and DVD. The kitchen is small but efficient, with an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave. The shower room is also on the ground floor, with a corner shower cubicle and WC. A permanent ladder leads to the snug, platformed bed, which has reduced head room due to its location in the roof space. The bed here is a king-size and a window lies behind the head of the bed.

Outside, the property benefits from a veranda and garden, where guests can enjoy alfresco meals and those stunning views of the neighbouring woodland and valley. There is seating and a BBQ out here too along with a fire bowl, making the evenings a truly romantic experience. There is parking for one car a short walk from the property itself. Arts and crafts workshops are available on site throughout the year. Bring sparkle to your Winter. Get your skates on for another Winter of ice fun at the Eden Project. The ice rink will be open until the 23rd February 2020, enjoy the seasonal activities, festive lights and explore the rainforest at twilight, just one mile from the property. (Unavailable on certain days).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely location. Slightly noisy on some nights from the campsite the other side of the hedge. Surrounding woodland is stunning as are the views from the cabin. We had a couple of visitors from the campsite which we didnt expect. This wasnt a problem but would have preferred not to have people walking directly outside the front of the cabin and peerRead moreing in through the window. The cabin itself had everything we needed, the shower was amazing and the bed was comfy too. All in all a great getaway Hide

The cottage is part of a small camping and glamping site in a woodland, up tiny winding roads in the middle of nowhere - very peaceful and idyllic. The views are spectacular. Our phone network didn't get phone or internet signal and had tRead moreo drive to a nearby village for signal. We had a issue with a gap between the two single mattresses but that's since been fixed - the zip that kept them together had simply come undone. We had a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend this little patch of paradise.

The location is fantastic!! Great for the dogs with so many beautiful walks, beaches and gardens to explore. The view from the garden was breathtaking and we spend our evenings having drinks and bbqs looking out over the view and lighting the fire pit for when it got dark.

Fantastic location in beautiful woodland overlooking a lovely valley. Lots to see and places to visit in the area. The cabin was perfect, peaceful and rustic, just what we were looking for and I managed to light the wood burner everynight without the need for firelighters! It was a perfect holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage has everything you need and if it's beautiful views and peace you are after, it is ideal. Sitting out on the deck, cooking on the bbq and enjoying a glass of wine whilst soaking up the view across the valley, we didn't want to leave. Highly recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely forest location for quiet escapes, obviously without WiFi, needed the Dyson heating and cooling fan as we had very warm weather. Air extraction and good ventilation with big windows was important this summer. We had a great time, thankyou to the owners.
