Set on a working sheep farm with uninterrupted countryside views. Located in pretty Beguildy with pub and shop, close to medieval Clun, the historic market towns of Knighton and Ludlow, spa town Llandrindod Wells and Newtown on the banks of the River Severn. All offer an array of activities, eateries’, independent shops, museums and galleries. Roam the 43 acre grounds designated as a Local Wildlife Site by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, join Glyndwr’s Way National Trail or Offa’s Dyke or choose one of the many footpaths, cycle routes and bridle ways through the majestic Welsh and rolling Shropshire Hills. Explore the Observatory Spaceguard Centre, The Judges Lodging and National Trust Powis Castle and Gardens to name but a few of the attractions. Perfect for a relaxing stay. The cottage is one of two adjacent cottages, that if booked together could provide accommodation for 4 people. The cottages are found at the top of a private drive, where there is no passing people or traffic, just sheep and wildlife. Children and dogs are allowed to roam freely and safely in the acre of fenced in garden. Guests and their dogs are free to wander around the 43 acres of grounds. There are many walks directly from the property, without having to drive anywhere. There is total peace and solitude, with fresh mountain air and pure spring water on tap.

The property has been lovingly refurbished, in 2017 and has flagstone floors and exposed beams greet you as you enter this charming property. The spacious and creative open-plan lounge/diner has a fabulous inglenook fireplace and wood burner taking centre stage. Relax on the comfy sofas and watch TV or a film on the DVD, listen to music and lose yourself in a good book or just embrace the wonderful view of rolling countryside. The dining table is well placed to enjoy a meal and discuss your plans for tomorrow. If you decide to eat in, the superb kitchen caters for all your needs with electric cooker, fridge, microwave oven, alongside thoughtful little extras creating a delightful space to prepare a meal. Upstairs you can truly relax in the lovely bathroom with shower over bath and WC and then retire to the welcoming super-king-size bedroom with freshly laundered linen and fluffy towels.

Outside there is a private, fenced garden.  Enjoy alfresco dining on the patio with furniture and BBQ or take a picnic on the lawn. Make the most of the stunning views from the private hot tub or explore the 43 acres of grounds. Private parking for two cars at the property. Had an amazing time in an amazing place would highly recommend Tack Cottage met all my needs the views were stunning and was so peaceful and relaxing .the cottage caters for all your need and the hot tub a bonus . Excellent cottage, really does have all you need. Walks surrounding are amazing for walkers with it without dogs. Views are spectacular especially from the hot tub. Very welcoming oweners. Bbq supplied. Really cannot fault it.

We could not have been more impressed with this wonderful cottage! We have 2 reactive dogs who love to be outdoors and the field behind the cottage where dogs can run freely was just wonderful. We stayed at Tack Cottage for a week with our two rescue dogs.The location is stunning and the cottage and surrounding area is 100% dog friendly. The cottage was lovely, the log burner had plenty of wood, the kitchen well stocked and the bed was huge with high quality bedding. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tack Cottage. Caroline was a superb host; nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Fantastic views from the hot tub and a quiet retreat in front of the log burner whilst the rain lashed down outside. It was just what we needed for a relaxing break. A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. The perfect place for a getaway. Woodburning stove and hot tub were lovely extra luxuries. Access to a fenced field for dogs was great. Just spent a week at Tack Cottage with our two dogs and it was perfect! Very dog friendly with the enclosed garden and also an additional enclosed field to let the dogs run around. Caroline was very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is cosy and has the added bonus of a hot tub with amazing views. If you want to get away from the world this is the perfect location. Get a map rather than use a satnav when traveling to places locally as the narrow single track roads aren't for everyone. The perfect 'get away from it all' holiday. Peace and quiet with fantastic views. Cottage is cosy but with enough space to comfortably accommodate us and our 3 dogs. The views are stunning and the hot tub is lovely. I wouldnt say it was child/toddler friendly especially if they are disabled. I also wouldnt say dog friendly as the pubs dont let the dogs in. You share a garden with the other cottage and the owners dogs and cat. Theres ponds so if your dog loves water youll struggle to keep them out. We had a great stay at Tack Cottage, once we found it (the current road closure and diversion made it a little tricky). Beautiful and tranquil spot, perfect for unwinding. The dogs had a fantastic time exploring the fields, which were completely secure and dog-friendly. We visited some fantastic places including Ludlow and Church Stretton. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tack cottage. Jenny is a wonderful host who has clearly put effort into ensuring that everything needed for a lovely stay has been taken care of. The location is stunning, peace and quiet and beautiful views. Our dog loved the freedom he had to run around at will. As Jenny mentions in her welcome, advise bringing yRead moreour provisions with you as the location does mean a drive out to replenish the wine etc. WIFI was excellent for such a remote location. Beautiful cottage and location, left feeling completely relaxed and happy. Highly recommend. Very attentive owners too.

Ideal cottage situated in lovely countryside. Perfect quietness, truly a getaway from it all. Will definitely be booking to go back.

Received a lovely warm welcome on arrival. Jenny showed us around, and as it was a chilly day, had the heating on to warm the cottage. Perfect5 retreat for me and my young puppy, who was in heaven in the extensive enclosed garden. He was able to roam around safely, and was welcomed too. The hot tub is a wonderful addition to the lovely cottage. EnjRead moreoyed it in the evenings before retreating to the warmth of the log fire in the lovely lounge.
