Set on a working sheep farm with uninterrupted countryside views. Located in pretty Beguildy with pub and shop, close to medieval Clun, the historic market towns of Knighton and Ludlow, spa town Llandrindod Wells and Newtown on the banks of the River Severn. All offer an array of activities, eateries’, independent shops, museums and galleries. Roam the 43 acre grounds designated as a Local Wildlife Site by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, join Glyndwr’s Way National Trail or Offa’s Dyke or choose one of the many footpaths, cycle routes and bridle ways through the majestic Welsh and rolling Shropshire Hills. Explore the Observatory Spaceguard Centre, The Judges Lodging and National Trust Powis Castle and Gardens to name but a few of the attractions. Perfect for a relaxing stay. The cottage is one of two adjacent cottages, that if booked together could provide accommodation for 4 people. The cottages are found at the top of a private drive, where there is no passing people or traffic, just sheep and wildlife. Children and dogs are allowed to roam freely and safely in the acre of fenced in garden. Guests and their dogs are free to wander around the 43 acres of grounds. There are many walks directly from the property, without having to drive anywhere. There is total peace and solitude, with fresh mountain air and pure spring water on tap.

The property has been lovingly refurbished, in 2017 and has flagstone floors and exposed beams greet you as you enter this charming property. The spacious and creative open-plan lounge/diner has a fabulous inglenook fireplace and wood burner taking centre stage. Relax on the comfy sofas and watch TV or a film on the DVD, listen to music and lose yourself in a good book or just embrace the wonderful view of rolling countryside. The dining table is well placed to enjoy a meal and discuss your plans for tomorrow. If you decide to eat in, the superb kitchen caters for all your needs with electric hob, fridge, microwave/convection oven and induction hob alongside thoughtful little extras creating a delightful space to prepare a meal. Upstairs you can truly relax in the lovely bathroom with shower over bath and WC and then retire to the welcoming super-king-size bedroom with freshly laundered linen and fluffy towels.

Outside there is a private, fenced garden.  Enjoy alfresco dining on the patio with furniture and BBQ or take a picnic on the lawn. Make the most of the stunning views from the private hot tub or explore the 43 acres of grounds. Private parking for two cars at the property. Shared laundry in the Pump House with washing machine and tumble dryer. Amazing views, beautiful area. The cottage was very comfortable and has everything you need. Hot tub was fabulous. We took our dogs and they also had a great time. The hosts are very friendly- we hope to go back again soon.

Fabulous wee break here 06/21. Amazingly relaxing location and the hot tub and the facilities for the dog were just amazing. The perfect 'get away from it all' holiday. Peace and quiet with fantastic views. Cottage is cosy but with enough space to comfortably accommodate us and our 3 dogs. Very well thought out, it has everything you could need. Owners and Managers are so friendly and helpful and they were always available. Good size garden is fenced in for the dogs.(we Read moredidn't have to share garden with The Bothy) Great field for dog excersise. Did have to drive some way for off lead walks - Colstey/Red Woods. We had a fab time at this lovely cottage. The place was immaculate and very cosy, with the added bonus of a hot tub (even the bad weather couldn't stop us from enjoying it) the hosts were great and very welcoming, even supplying some treats for our dog to enjoy! Absolutely amazing cottage with idyllic views, wonderful hot tub and wood burner. Felt relaxed the moment we arrived a real home from home! We have recently returned from a lovely four night break at tack cottage. The setting is idyllic, with far reaching views down across the valley and into the hills beyond from the enclosed front garden. Beautiful unspoilt countryside, fantastic walks and quaint places to visit. 2020 - WOW! The year we discovered Tack Cottage. Warm & welcoming, as were our hosts. The perfect home from home for us & our 2 dogs. The views are stunning and the hot tub is lovely. I wouldnt say it was child/toddler friendly especially if they are disabled. I also wouldnt say dog friendly as the pubs dont let the dogs in. You share a garden with the other cottage and the owners dogs and cat. Theres ponds so if your dog loves water youll struggle to keep them out. We had a great stay at Tack Cottage, once we found it (the current road closure and diversion made it a little tricky). Beautiful and tranquil spot, perfect for unwinding. The dogs had a fantastic time exploring the fields, which were completely secure and dog-friendly. We visited some fantastic places including Ludlow and Church Stretton. Received a lovely warm welcome on arrival. Jenny showed us around, and as it was a chilly day, had the heating on to warm the cottage. Perfect5 retreat for me and my young puppy, who was in heaven in the extensive enclosed garden. He was able to roam around safely, and was welcomed too. This cottage is so beautiful with miles of countryside views, a wonderful open fire and modern bathroom. Everything you need is provided including an outbuilding with washer, dryer, all you need for cleaning should you feel the need. Extra chairs, bbq, books and dvds are all there for you to use. The hot tub is amazing.

We had the perfect getaway, the cottage is so quaint and cosy. We used the log burner every night as we went at the beginning of June which was lovely. The drive up was so picturesque and the grounds were amazing for our little dog as it was all fenced in. There was a groundsman who we saw everyday and he was so helpful, recommending places to go aRead morend wood/kindling for the fire, anything we needed he was more than happy to help. Great walks from the cottage and lovely views.. enjoyed usiing the hot tub at dusk, beautiful views from it. Lovely cosy cottage.. lots of wood provided for the log burner and super comfy bed... plenty of lawns to sunbathe on in three summer months!!! Will definately return!!

Fabulous stay at this cottage. The views were amazing. The cottage was almost out of a film set, very cozy and secluded. Was greeted with a bottle of bubbly (thanks very much) and all the essentials I.e. coffee, tea, milk, eggs and wood stocked up for the burner with free stock to help yourself. The cottage is very secluded and situated up a very long entrance path with sheep grazing on it . The are many uneven surfaces and some steps into the property then another step down onto flagstone floor and the path leading to cottage is stones .
