The popular seaside town of Ilfracombe is only five miles away from the cottage and has many shops, pubs and restaurants for visitors to discover. Surfers will love the golden sandy beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, whilst the rugged beauty of Exmoor is a must for hikers. This perfect family cottage is situated on a 20 acre farm and is 1 of 5 holiday properties on the complex and offers a unique holiday experience with so much to see and do off and on site!

The spacious cottage is accessed via the communal courtyard area. On entering you a greeted with a handy entrance hall, perfect for wiping those sandy toes! Also on the ground floor you will find one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and WC, plus three twin bedroom and a family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading upstairs you will find another double bedroom with en-suite shower and WC. The fabulous lounge/kitchen/diner is also located on the first floor. This open plan space is perfect for all the family and is completed with TV, DVD, Freeview, video, Hi-Fi and a cosy wood burner. The kitchen/diner area is big enough to gather all the family around and rustle up your favourite meals with an electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher. There is also a handy washing machine and shared tumble dryer available.

An external staircase leads outside to fully enclosed private garden with patio furniture where the views over fields can be enjoyed. Why not buy a disposable BBQ (can be purchased on site) and spend the evening eating alfresco?

Barn Owl Cottage was an ideal place to stay with our extended family and dogs for a family celebration. The games room was great for the older grandchildren and our youngest grandchild enjoyed the "meet the animals" with Jay. The kitchen is well equipped and we could cook for ten with ease. There are many places to visit locally (e.g. beaches, zoo Read moretrain) and it was also a good setting to relax and put our feet up. Cottage was lovely. 10 family members one baby & a dog went for a Birthday surprise, in Feb. Nice and clean, plenty of space for all of us. Well decked out kitchen lots of cutlery & utensils plus dishwasher tablets, cloths, kitchen spray & washing up liquid. Clean bedding. Was cold on arrival but didnt take long to warm up, good heating system & boRead morenus of the log burner. Enclosed back garden, safe for children & the dog, a few steps but not a problem. Warm, spacious cottage with fully enclosed safe garden. Great area. Plenty big enough for our 6 adults, 2 kids and 4 dogs. Could have done with some written guidance and maybe a small map of where you were permitted to go as we found this quite awkward to just wander around a working farm.

This cottage was fine for us - four generations aged from 89 years to 4 months. Plus 4 dogs. 5 nights over Christmas. It was well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery plus appliances. The bedrooms were comfortable although a bit chilly. Four bedrooms were downstairs with the fifth upstairs with the living area. Arrived at property, tea and biscuits were nice. Enough kitchenware. Property has no mobile reception due to the thick walls. Internet down and therefore unable to contact the owners until another guest gave us the number who also had no mobile or Internet.Chairs were filthy ingrained dirt. Sofa covers filthy as were Bath mats. Rooms have little naRead moretural light, dark and gloomy. Very disappointed. We left after one night and booked else where. Great location to visit the beautiful North Devon coast, but there's no hurry to leave the holiday complex as there's lots to do. We really enjoyed the animals particularly on the special time where Jay introduced and gave us information on the extra creatures that you can't see for yourself.
