Lovely cottage in a perfect location with easy access to many treasures. As a dog owner I would prefer there to have been private outdoor space attached to the cottage. A pleasant and comfortable stay thank you

An ideal and memorable place for a really quiet holiday. The cottage is characterful and wears its origins happily whilst having everything you need for a comfortable stay. It really is quiet - we commented when a car or tractor went by! The cottage garden outside, and in front of the owners' farmhouse, is a delight. For us who are used to the neveRead morer-dark skies in London, seeing the night sky properly was a joy. And there's lots to do in the area, incl National Trust and English Heritage. Hide

Blown away by the location, pure peace and quite only the birds and the occasional helicopter, the owners really make the place make sure you are comfortable have everything you need and stop and chat when they see you, also let you know about local walks, cant wait to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The communal gardens are beautifully maintained and filled with a lovely variety of plants. The only slight issue is the lack of a main gate to the farm house, which means dogs can wander onto the mostly quiet road if not monitored. Overall a very good value for money stay Read moreand well definitely be back as theres so much to see in the surrounding areas. Hide
