We found this to be a spacious cottage. which was well equipped. The location really suited us - we could walk from the house or explore the local area. It is situated by itself and so wouldn't suit someone who prefers being able to walk to the shops or a pub. We loved it and would return.

Delightful cottage in idyllic location with stunning views. We enjoyed the 3 different sitting areas depending on the time of day and the hot tub was fantastic. We loved our stay at Black Lake Cottage, the most restful and relaxing break I've had in a very long time. The location is perfect. It feels so remote but really is only a 15-20 minute drive to Porthmadog. The balcony is a suntrap, perfect for admiring the views with a glass of wine before gazing a stars from the hot tub. Really enjoyed our stay at Black Lake cottage - set in the most stunning of locations with the cottage cosy and well equipped. Incredibly peaceful and feeling of remoteness and yet only a relatively short drive back to the local village. Numerous walks from your doorstep whilst beaches, Snowdonia etc easily accessible.

A comfortable, tranquil, secluded haven. We loved how remote it was and that you could explore the mountain side and not see anyone apart from sheep, whilst a few miles away Snowdonia was heaving. Go if you want isolation. Not so great if you like to pop out to the shop or don't like driving on narrow roads.
