Beautiful ground floor apartment within a barn conversion in an idyllic setting making this a wonderful place to unwind, snuggle up in front of the wood burner and relax.

Located within the Yorkshire Dales National Park close to the quaint and beautiful village of Dent.  Explore the picturesque village of Sedbergh, a short drive away leading on further to the Lake District. Ideally positioned to explore the wonders that this area has to offer, from hiking to Whernside, one of the famous Yorkshire three Peaks or you could try your hand at fishing in the nearby river. A short drive from the M6, you can easily access the northern lakes exploring the Ullswater, Glenridding and the Patterdale valleys with a variety of quality restaurants, pubs and shops to explore and within easy access to the Lakes and beyond.

Enter the converted ground-floor barn apartment with wooden beams and flagstone floors. To your left you will find the king-size bedroom with TV and en-suite shower room and WC. The bedroom window in this room is enhanced by an original stable door making it a wonderful feature. Moving along the corridor you enter the open-plan, light and spacious lounge/kitchen/diner with windows overlooking the orchard and hills beyond, the kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer, the dining area has a table which seats four and is adjacent to the kitchen area. The lounge area is spacious and comfortable with Sky TV and wood burner which makes this a wonderful area to relax in, or just snuggle up and watch TV.

Heading outside of the property you have a shared garden area which offers a table and chairs, orchard area, pond and large lawn ideal for warm summer days and alfresco dining. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Ideally situated for some pleasant walks. The dogs just adored being able to run during the day, and to flop down in front of the open fire at night. Very cozy for us humans too!

Wonderfully cosy ground-floor conversion. Being able to walk straight out onto the lawn would be brilliant in summer, in winter I was more interested in the wood- and coal-burner (central heating also fine of course). Footpath from the property towards Dent. The whole dale is gorgeous. Recommend Three Hares cafe in Sedbergh, Booths at Kirkby LonsdaRead morele for supplies, and the Barbon road for a spectacular drive. Thank you for a lovely stay. Hide

literally stayed one night total waste of 540.00 .Ok for a walking holiday but does not justify price paid very disappointed.

Old fashioned cottage with stone floors. Quite dark due to downstairs location - small windows set in thick stone so not much natural light. At the rear, the gardens are well kept and the views of the hills are lovely.

The cottage was in a beautiful location with great views from the property. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of storage for our clothes.

The cottage was lovely and the setting superb. However we had booked for 3 weeks and this had not been communicated to the housekeeping staff. It was only pure luck that we happened to see someone who immediately jumped to rectify the situation. She was brilliant and came again at the end of the second week to renew everything. Otherwise 3 weeks woRead moreuld have been a bit much! There is no insulation between Helm Byre and its upper neighbour and we could hear EVERYTHING that went on upstairs. Hide
