A spacious bay fronted Grade II listed cottage in this delightful area of Brixham and within walking distance of the sandy beach at St Mary's Bay and a short stroll to shops and pub.

Brixham itself is renowned for its pretty harbour, a perfect spot for enjoying water sports or trying your hand at crabbing, and offers a choice of beach, and boasts an open-air sea water lido at Shoalstone. Surrounding Brixham is an assortment of colourful cottages housing seafood restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs making it a wonderful place to amble around and people watch or take the foot ferry to Torquay or Paignton. Alternatively, head out and explore the rest of the English Riviera with an abundance of sandy beaches. Kingswear is just a 10 minute drive away and where you can hop on the Steam Railway or take the ferry over to beautiful Dartmouth.

The property is approached via three shallow steps from street level. Entering on the ground floor you are immediately greeted by a roomy lounge, which is a perfect space for relaxing, watching TV or a movie on the DVD snuggled up in front of the log burner for those cosy nights in. The dining room leads off the lounge and has ample space to sit and enjoy a meal. The galley style kitchen area is well-equipped and offers an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is also a separate WC and utility area with washer/dryer. Heading up to the first floor via a cottage style staircase with stair gates at top and bottom. Ahead of you is a large bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and to your left you will find a double bedroom and on your right a twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a super-king-size upon request at the time of booking).

Stepping outside, from the kitchen, is a sunny decked courtyard with enclosed garden, furniture and a charcoal BBQ and there is allocated private parking for one car in a yard at the end of the street, additional roadside parking can be found nearby.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Great little cottage in an ideal spot for walking to and from the beautiful quaint harbour , we would definitely recommend booking restaurants as in busy times you cant get in the good places . Lovely cottage in convenient location for Brixham. Chinese restaurant at the end of the road recommended. Spar Shop 2 min walk, very useful. Plenty to do in surrounding area. Recommend Broadsands Beach and the Paignton-Dartmouth steam train.

A lovely cottage about a twenty minute walk to the harbour which is the main focus of the area. Having it's own parking bay is a huge bonus. Separate dining area from the living room so plenty of room to spread out. Good broadband and dog friendly. We took our dog everywhere. We had a lovely time at Horsepool Cottage, beautifully decorated and the garden was a lovely sun trap. The local Spa was very handy, if you like walking then the walk to Brixham is fine but is uphill coming back, there was a playing field near the church which was excellent for dog walking and our dog had a lovely time meeting lots of new friends. Lovely holiday cottage in excellent condition. Parking really useful. However Cottage on a very busy noisy road and Sofas and double bed not very comfortable.

The property was very nice, comfortable, warm and homely. It was about a 15-20 mins walk to the town/harbour. There were pubs a spar, Indian and Chinese takeaways close by. It was a bonus having the parking space.
