This property is located within the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the outskirts of the village of Goodrich, and is overlooked by the village’s imposing Norman castle. This property makes a wonderful location whether you want a restful and relaxing break, perhaps enjoying country walks or relishing in the tranquillity of the gardens, or you want to enjoy more active pursuits such as hiking part of Offa’s Dyke, or exploring Symonds Yat West Leisure Park or the Forest of Dean. A little further afield, and yet still within easy reach, the towns of Ross-on-Wye and Gloucester both make for a great day out.
This three-storey property makes a delightful place to stay thanks to the original features and the beautiful shared grounds. On the ground floor of the property guests will find the wet room with walk in shower and WC, alongside the main bedroom: a restful double bedroom which overlooks the gardens to the front of the property. Taking the stairs to the first floor, guests will find the open-plan kitchen/diner where the wooden dining table seats four, and the kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The lounge is a cosy room with a lovely relaxing atmosphere which is enhanced by the comfy corner sofa and warming wood burner. Up on the mezzanine floor, there is a twin bedroom which overlooks the living area below, and offers views to Goodrich Castle.
Outside, spacious gardens are shared with guests in the other properties, and make a great place to relax and enjoy a picnic on one of the benches or tables provided. Off-road parking is provided for three cars.
