Lovely well equipped cottage in peaceful surroundings. We visited in January but in spite of the cold weather we were lovely and warm and appreciated the open fire. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. Andrew and Meryl made us very welcome and we enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast.

Beautiful cottage with lovely surroundings. Owners very friendly, the cottage was very warm and well equipped, had everything we needed. There are a lot of nice villages and towns nearby and the woods just up from the cottage are especially nice to walk.

We really enjoyed our stay this is a lovely area which we had not explored before. Hopton was very comfortable, very quiet and very well equipped. The owners were friendly and quick to respond when the wifi was not working.

We found Hopton very comfortable and roomy for a cottage for just 2 people, for example the dining table had 4 chairs and there were 3 easy chairs and a settee in the living room. Unusually, for let for 2, it had both an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs shower room........We liked watching all the bird life around the farm, with nesting swallows Read moreand regular visits from a fly catcher. The location of the cottage was excellent; in a particularly attractive part of Shropshire and even over a Bank Holiday weekend the area was quiet. The cottage had a good selection of walking material and we especially liked and used a local guide book, written by members of 3 local walking groups......... Hide
