This property enjoys a fantastic location within 135-acres of farmland, beyond which there is miles of beautiful countryside to be explored and enjoyed. Bircher Common is within walking distance of the property, giving access onto the Mortimer Trail: a 30-mile walking trail taking in the best of the Shropshire and Herefordshire countryside. Also within walking distance is the pretty village of Orleton, where visitors will find two welcoming pubs, ideal for a quick pint or perhaps a hearty pub lunch. The National Trust property of Croft Castle is just a few miles away, a stunning manor house surrounded by 1500 acres of grounds. For those who enjoy sampling the local food, the town of Ludlow is just a short drive away and offers a wide range of restaurants specialising in local food, as well as the annual food festival.

On entering this Grade II listed property, guests will find themselves in the upper-floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its attractive beamed ceilings, large corner sofa, and dining table. The kitchen area is well-equipped with everything that guests will need including 2 oven's, hob, microwave, and dishwasher, whilst the washer/dryer can be found housed in a separate utility room. Taking the stairs to the lower floor, there are two of the property’s bedrooms: the first of these is a super-king size room which can be made up as a twin on request, and benefits from an en-suite shower room and WC. The second room on this floor is a king-size room, again with an en-suite shower and WC. Both of these bedrooms have their own TV and DVD, as do the two further bedrooms which are located downstairs on the bottom floor. The first of the rooms on this floor is a super-king which can be made up as a twin on request, and has an en-suite shower room with WC, whilst the final room contains a super-size bed (that can be made as a twin upon request) with an en-suite bathroom offering a shower-over-bath and WC. There is also a convenient separate WC situated on the property’s middle floor.

There is plenty of outside space with this property, not only the 135 acres of farmland, but also the garden which has a spacious terrace with garden furniture which easily accommodates eight guests or 10 guests if you book the Parlour next door, whether they want to enjoy alfresco drinks in the evening or take their meals outside. Another enjoyable stay. Always a warm welcome and yummy homemade cake to greet us. The barn was thoroughly cleaned and has absolutely everything one could need for a comfortable stay. Very peaceful location; weve booked again!

The cottage contained everything we needed to accommodate and cater for 6 adults and 2 young children. We had plenty of space inside and out. A nice, quiet spot where we had privacy but knew there were people close by if we had any questions.... very happy with our choice!

This was a beautiful barn and it was immaculate. The beds were so comfortable and it had everything you could possibly need for a long stay. There was a group of us and the fact we each had good sized bedrooms with our own en-suites was like having a little hotel to yourself. The location was superb for walks and to visit local towns. Fantastically located for country walks and cycle rides (sheltered bike storage), Boot Inn (great food), Ludlow, Croft Castle walk from the house). Exceptionally well appointed with quality bedding, beds, towels and toiletries and kitchen very well equipped. We had issues with WiFi and a broken TV, both of which were dealt with immediately. Lovely barn that comfortably sleeps 8 adults. The barn is really well equipped and the owners are always on hand to provide local recommendations. You will not be short of walks and rides from the house, with a brilliant local pub within walking distance. Highly recommend!
