Single-storey property situated on the owner’s working farm on the Shropshire/Herefordshire border, just a few miles from the popular town of Ludlow.

This property boasts a wonderfully rural location on the owner’s 135-acre farm, set in rolling countryside on the border of Shropshire and Herefordshire. There are many miles of scenic walks to be enjoyed direct from the property’s front door, with Bircher Common being just a short walk away, giving access to the 30-mile-long Mortimer Trail, which stretches from Ludlow to Kington. The town of Ludlow is itself, a wonderful place to explore, with its fine medieval ruined castle, interesting historic buildings, and its well-deserved reputation as a foodie favourite. Other attractions in the area include the 1000-year old Croft Castle, West Midlands Safari Park, and the towns of Hay-on-Wye, Leominster, and Tenbury Wells.

A ramp leads guests to the front door of this barn conversion property, which opens directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here guests will find a comfortable sofa, and a dining table, alongside the TV/DVD. The kitchen area, running along one side of the room provides everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. A short corridor leads guests past the cloakroom with WC, to the bedroom, a restful space with a super-king size bed which can be made up as a twin room on request. The en-suite wet room contains a shower and WC.

Outside, two steps lead to the private decked terrace, which is accessed via the living area. The owners have provided garden furniture, including reclining chairs, making this a great place to relax and enjoy the pleasantly tranquil surroundings and views across the farm. There is off-road parking provided.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

This is a lovely cottage in the countryside although not very far from Ludlow. We found it quiet and dark at night. It was comfortable and well equipped with everything you may need. There are beautiful views from the deck where you can sit and listen to the birdsong.

Very comfortable and well appointed cottage. The owner was very friendly and helpful and was amenable to being contacted by phone or text message. The location was fantastic, with countryside all around, but with a town within 15 minutes drive. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
