Spacious rural retreat located in the picturesque Welsh borders, surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, and yet conveniently only two miles from the town of Presteigne.

This property is located amongst the breath-taking hills and valleys of the Shropshire/Powys borders, allowing guests to explore the towns and attractions on both sides of the Welsh border. The stunning countryside location allows guests to take a lovely walk direct from the property’s front door. The town of Presteigne offers a good range of shops and eateries. Other places of interest in the local area include The Brecon Beacons National Park, the Shropshire Hills, and the towns of Hay-on-Wye and Ludlow. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).

A quiet, leafy lane brings guests to this single-storey property, which is situated close to the owner’s home, yet is not overlooked, allowing guests to enjoy their privacy. A ramp leads to the front door, bringing guests to the hallway which opens onto the lounge with its dual aspect windows with spectacular views across the surrounding countryside. The sofas are positioned in front of the wood burner to enjoy in the evenings. The kitchen/diner is a generously proportioned and well equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Returning to the lounge, guests will find the door which leads them to the corridor, off from which the bedrooms are located. The first of these is a lovely double bedroom, which benefits from its own TV. The second bedroom is a pretty twin room, whilst the third bedroom is the master bedroom with a double sized bed with TV. This master bedroom also benefits from an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower and WC. The bathroom can be found located off the same corridor as the bedrooms, and offers a bath, separate shower, and WC.

Outside, the property boasts a good-sized private garden, where guests can sit and relax, making this a wonderful space from which to enjoy the views and tranquillity, and perhaps a meal. There is off-road parking provided.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The property was immaculate and was warm when we arrived. I couldnt of asked for a better place to take my young family and parents in law. We will definitely be coming back!

Spacious, comfortable cottage with a lovely view. Elan Valley, 45 min drive, well worth it. Great for cycling (hire bikes available), walking or just driving around and enjoying the views. Powys castle, just over 1 hr drive, is well worth a visit. Bridgnorth, about 1 hr away, has the Severn Valley Railway with steam engines. Honeysuckle Cottage is situated in a rural setting with stunning views from the spacious garden, but a short drive from Presteigne with its local shops, including fishmonger, green grocery, baker etc. The single storey property is well appointed, light, airy and beautifully clean. We had an amazing week holiday here. The cottage was very clean on arrival and is of high standard. The view from the the cottage and the area around is beautiful , from the green hills and huge Forests to the distanced views of crop land .. just pure nature .. Most attractive Scandinavian style property within five or so yards distance from the hosts' dwelling. Reached via a narrow, winding uphill road from the village the light and airy property, which is all on one floor, has the most beautiful views of the countryside and distant hills.
