This property enjoys a fantastic countryside location in South Shropshire, with miles of country walks accessible directly from the front door. The area around the property has many lovely villages to discover, many of which have welcoming country pubs. If food is your thing, then this cottage is in a fantastic location thanks to its proximity to Ludlow, which lies just three miles away. Famed for its annual food festival, the town remains a popular foodie destination all year round, thanks to its numerous well-regarded eateries, many of which specialise in local produce. The town is also home to a good range of shops, as well as to Ludlow Castle, a medieval fort which dates back more than 900 years, Clee Hill is a short drive away from the property which boasts stunning views.

On entering this attractive cottage, guests will immediately gain a sense of just how much time and love has been put into creating a welcoming holiday home. The open-plan kitchen/diner not only offers a great place to enjoy meals together, but is also well-equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, larder cupboard and dishwasher, plus a beautiful dining table and chairs to seat up to six people. The washing machine , freezer and tumble dryer, meanwhile, can be found in a separate laundry room, which is housed in a separate building just next to the cottage. Moving on from the kitchen/diner, guests will come to the delightful lounge, where they are able to relax in front of the cosy wood burner and catch up on their favourite TV programmes, or perhaps enjoy a DVD. This room leads through to a snug which is an additional bedroom for up to two people. There is also a convenient cloakroom with WC located on the ground floor. Stairs lead from the dining area up to the first-floor accommodation, where there are two bedrooms: one of these is a restful king-size room, whilst the other is a pleasant twin room (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request), both of which benefit from en-suite facilities, one with a bath, rainfall shower with hand-held shower and WC, the other with a rainfall shower , hand held shower head and WC.

Outside, there is a sheltered courtyard with garden furniture which makes a wonderful place to enjoy al fresco meals. There is off-road parking provided. There is also access to the owners fields just off the property, dogs must not worry the Livestock if they are in the fields. There is also a separate laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and extra fridge and freezer space.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing time at Caynham Forge. The cottage is well equipped and spacious. It's location is ideal for Ludlow, Hereford, and numerous other places of interest. We would highly recommend it and be very happy to return at some point.

This lovely cottage has literally everything you could wish for. It is probably the best equipped property we've ever used. For dogs there are 2 public footpaths within 200 yards, perfect for the morning walk. There is a spacious drive with picnic area beyond where they can roam (ours found a way out) The adjoining field is also available but we deRead morecided not to use it. Very well equipped cottage, with lots of extras such as tea, coffee, cooking oil, dishwasher tablets, soap and shower gel and toilet roll. The property is beautiful and if you are tall enough you can see beautiful views from the upstairs windows. The heating system in the kitchen is quite noisy and constant and we had a fridge issue as well. There are beautiful roses around the property which will only get lovelier as summer progresses.

A beautiful and comfortable property which had everything you could need when away from home. Very comfortable beds, it was very clean and we appreciated the welcome goodies. It was very well situated for exploring the local area and we followed up on visits to some of the places recommended by previous guests.

A perfect location for our Shropshire Hills walking holiday, accompanied by 'Mungo' our yellow Labrador. The cottage felt like a home from home, we appreciated the many extra touches that are sometimes lacking in other holiday properties. Although we had pre-prepared our walks we found the available data, maps and walking books most useful.

The cottage still retains it's old forge character on the outside, but inside is a beautifully restored, comfortable and well equipped home. Caynham Forge is a lovely home from home. Very comfortable and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the laundry room was a really useful facility as it rained all week which made our clothes and shoes very muddy! Definitely one of the most comfortable and well equipped cottages I have ever stayed in. Beautifully furnished with really comfortable sofas and beds, this place is a treat. The goodies on arrival were excellent and very generous. Would highly recommend and stay at if visiting the area again.

Caynham Forge has been completely renovated to the highest standard. There are 2 separate bedrooms and a snug downstairs. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need with a cosy sitting area. Outside there is a bbq area and laundry room. We were made welcome by the owner and then left in peace to enjoy our stay.
