Property code: CHL39

Lovingly converted former barn located in the rolling countryside close to Leominster, with just a thirty-minute walk taking you to the town centre with its array of shops and eateries.

Fields and countryside surround this property, so it may come as a surprise to some that it is within pleasant walking distance of the town of Leominster, so staying here really does offer the best of both worlds: the peacefulness of the countryside, combined with the convenience of a town’s facilities. Leominster is a particularly charming town, and provides a lovely change from the usual high street names with its numerous independent boutiques, antique shops, and attractive Tudor buildings. Other interesting places to visit in the area include the foodie town of Ludlow, the cathedral town of Hereford, and of course, many miles of beautiful countryside to explore.

The front door of this property opens onto the hallway, beyond which is the open-plan lounge/diner, a delightful space with exposed beams, and patio doors leading out to the garden. The dining table is complemented by an attractive Welsh dresser, whilst the lounge area has comfortable seating arranged around the fireplace with its warming wood burner, as well as a TV and DVD. The separate kitchen is well laid out, so guests can easily find everything they need to make themselves at home including an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. The property’s two bedrooms can be found on the first floor, the first of which is an attractive super-king-size room which can be made up as a twin room on request, and enjoys pretty views across the garden. The second bedroom is a double room which benefits from views across the fields towards Leominster. The bathroom, which is also located on the first floor, has a shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, there is a generously sized garden to the rear of the property which is mainly set to lawn, with a shaded patio area and garden furniture, ideal for enjoying drinks in the evenings. There is off-road parking provided.

  • 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 super-king-size (can be made up as a twin if requested at the time of booking)
  • Bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC
  • TV and DVD
  • Wi-Fi available
  • Electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine
  • Bed linen, electric, towels, and heating included
  • 1 dog welcome (must not be left unattended)
  • Off-road parking
  • Pubs and shops within 30-minutes’ walk
  • This property will be decorated for Christmas

Very comfortable cottage, well located for Leominster and visiting other attractions. Beds super comfortable! Nice dining area looking out over the garden. The garden was a huge bonus; safe for the dog and very pleasant to sit in (lots of sun and shade areas).

It was such a lovely restful place to be. Everything was perfect and very homely and the dog very much appreciated the safe garden. Thank you very much to the owners and those "caretaking" the cottage.

The cottage is set in a residential courtyard, comfortable but in need of some updating to the kitchen and bathroom. A typical cottage with beams downstairs is a little dark but there are plenty of lights to use when inclement weather. A very pleasant cottage in an equally pleasant setting. Comfortable and spacious living/dining room with ample armchairs and a sofa (all comfortable). The back bedroom has a wonderfully comfy super-king bed. Both bedrooms have good storage space. The bathroom shower (in the bath) works well. The rear garden is quite private and has a patio for evenRead moreing drinks (weather permitting). Leominster somewhat limited for restaurants. For the energetic, probably a 25 to 30 minute walk into town. Hide
