A pretty property nestling at the top of a gently sloping field overlooking an idyllic lake with ducks and geese providing a perfect escape from everyday life.

Situated in the heart of mid-Devon you will be perfectly placed for exploring the whole of this popular county. The immediate area offers and array of amenities and attractions with a community store in the nearby village of Kennerleigh, selling a variety of local produce, meat to free range eggs and cider. In the nearby historic market town of Crediton there are shops, pubs and a bustling farmers market. Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with the coast, Dartmoor and Exmoor within an hour’s drive. Further afield is Tiverton castle, museum and canal country park. Other attractions and places of interest in the area include Escot, Bickleigh Mill and numerous National Trust properties such as Killerton, and Castle Drogo.

Stepping up into the adorable property you will immediately find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area. In the sleeping area you will find a double bed. In the dining area there is breakfast bar and chairs perfect for enjoying breakfast and your morning coffee before heading out for the day. After a day exploring relax in front of the TV and wood burner and plan the following days adventures. The compact kitchen area is equipped with an electric mini oven with two ring hob and a fridge with ice compartment. For your comfort there is an en-suite shower and WC providing a comfortable stay in this beautiful rustic environment.

Outside of the property there is a lovely secluded little patio area with a private hot tub, garden furniture, charcoal BBQ with views of the lake and fields beyond. There is private off-road parking for one car provided at the base of the field.

A fabulous stay in a beautiful location. The hut is simply gorgeous and is a great base for touring the local area. The scones and clotted cream on arrival were an extra special treat and the friendly greeting from both Mandy and the brace of ducks was a warm welcome.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Shepherds huts. The location was beautiful and so peaceful. The hut had everything you needed. The hot tub was amazing and we had dinner by the fire. My husband and I came here to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary! We had the most amazing time! Superb location, in a valley on a quiet farm with just two other rentals in a field along with friendly ducks + Fern the dog! Hut fully equipped, from tea/coffee to hair dryer+ hot water bottle. One warning 6ft 4in is as tall as you can be to fit in the bed!!

The Shepherds Huts are so comfy and cosy. The location is beautiful and it is an relaxing to be there. There are lots of personal touches to the huts and all the resources and amenities you could need are available, including home made scones and enough fire wood to last the week. We had a lovely relaxing time.

"Shepherds Bliss" wow what a beautiful gem of a property. The fantastic countryside and views. The quacking (ducks), bleeting (sheep) and mooing (cows) neighbours only added to the delight. Fantastic facilities with everything you'd need. Thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ, hot tub and camp fire facilities. The surroundings were idyllic with a pond and some very friendly ducks.
