The Victorian village of Ballater known as the jewel of the Cairngorms is within easy reach and the picturesque villages of Tarland with its beautiful golf course and Aboyne are both close at hand. The wonderful River Dee is also close by, renowned for its excellent salmon and trout fishing. Enjoy the famous malt whisky trail and visit an array of beautiful distilleries and museums. Or, explore over 300 castles, stately homes and ruins on Scotland’s magnificent castle trail, making this a fantastic base for you holiday.

Entering the charming detached cottage from the garden through to the hall, into the light and bright lounge with TV/DVD and wood burner, ideal for a cosy night in. Next door you will find the spacious sun room, enjoying magnificent mountain views and also another wood burner, perfect for relaxing after a day out exploring the local area. Continuing back through the lounge through to the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and large dining table perfect for family gatherings. Followed by the bathroom which has, bath, separate shower and WC. Leading back though the hallway you are met with the spacious family bedroom with double bed and single bed. Heading up the stairs to the landing, you will find the pretty double bedroom to your left and the charming twin to your right, both enjoying lovely views over the garden and the mountains in the distance.

Venturing outside into the spacious mature garden with seating area and BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining and lazy evenings star gazing over the wonderful mountains. There is also a handy outdoor stone built utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, with log and bicycle storage too. Ample off-road parking is available directly in front of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A traditional Scottish Croft on the side of a hillside, with views over the mountains. Lots of room inside and out. Clean and well-stocked. Ideal for a peaceful holiday.

We absolutly loved your little Croft with the Lambs as our neighbours - their bleeting was a pure Treat to fall asleep too and greeting us in the morning skipping about. Beautiful views from the Conservatory our favourite place for morning Coffee. Great place and would love to return - We now are even thinking off getting our very own Croft. Ferneyhowe Croft is a comfy house, in a wonderful location with lots of local wildlife and great walks, bike rides and cafes quite close by.
