Beautiful ground floor apartment overlooking fields and woodlands positioned in a wonderful rural setting yet ideal to explore the range of local areas on offer.

Located on the outskirts of the northern Cumbrian village of Newcasleton, close to the Scottish Border, Northumberland and the Northern Lake District. Less than a ten mile drive away you reach the Kielder Forest where you can explore the wonders that this area has to offer, from hiking, cycling or horse riding. Situated further afield is Carlisle where you can explore Carlisle Cathedral or the vibrant city centre which has lots to offer, or visit the imposing Lanercost Priory and also walk nearby to Hadrian's Wall and take in the history of this wonderful area.

Enter the ground floor apartment through patio doors directly into the kitchen/diner, the views offer a stunning vista out across the surrounding fields, the paddock and woodland. The kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, the dining/breakfast bar table has seating for seven and is within the kitchen area. Leaving the kitchen you access the lounge area which is spacious and comfortable with TV and wood burner effect electric fire making this a great area to relax in or watch TV. Leading from the lounge you can access the double bedroom and the single bedroom which benefit from a Jack and Jill en-suite shower room with WC. Moving back through the lounge area and passing through the kitchen you enter the corridor you first come upon the wetroom with shower and WC. The super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) is at the end of corridor and has an additional bunk bed.

Outside of the property you have a large patio area with bench seating, a table and chairs, ideal for warm summer days take in the sounds of the local river as it passes by. There is also a BBQ and fire pit available to enjoy the outdoor space.

There is a shared hot tub on site which is available for private booking.

If you would rather not cook or drive then why not try the onsite bar or restaurant and meet the locals. There is also bicycle storage available should you require this and stabling facilities if you decide you would like to bring your horse too. Guests are welcome to take a stroll through the fields and enjoy the country air. There is off-road parking for four cars with additional parking if required.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely little cottage. Clean and tidy and great views. There were 5 of us staying here. Plenty of room and 2 bathrooms which helped. No Wifi and phone signal in the cottage but could get wifi at the bar area. Was quiet apart from could hear the people walking about upstairs not a prob in the day just a little annoying when they were up at 6am !!! .Read more Lovely people onsite and great with the children.
