This truly delightful property nestled next to the owners’ home, has been lovingly fitted and furnished in a contemporary country style and provides a great base for small families and couples alike.

You will be perfectly placed, just a few miles from picturesque Tamar Lakes and a short drive to the Atlantic Highway, via this the whole of the spectacular North Coast, famed for its beautiful scenery, can be explored. Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice with Bude offering a choice of sandy beaches alongside a variety of amenities, Widemouth Bay and Crackington Haven are all just a few miles away. There is an array of picturesque fishing villages and coves waiting to be explored and these include Boscastle, Port Isaac, Rock and Padstow, a popular foodie destination. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include Hartland Quay, Bodmin Moor, mythical Tintagel with the legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and The Eden Project.

A spacious porch at the entrance to this stunning property provides a perfect place to store wellies and outdoor clothing. From here step into the beautifully presented kitchen/diner which is fitted and furnished in a lovely contemporary country style with granite work tops and bi-folding doors to outside. The kitchen itself is also well-equipped and offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. From here, step down into the lounge which boasts a vaulted beamed ceiling, extensive views towards Dartmoor and Bodmin, Smart TV, Blu-Ray DVD, DAB radio, tri-folding doors to outside and a cosy wood burner. The bedrooms lead off the kitchen/diner and these comprise of a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath with hand held shower and WC, and the second bedroom boasts a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) with en-suite shower room and WC.

A fabulous choice of outside space is also on offer with the closest being a delightful patio area with garden furniture directly to the rear of the property. Further to this there is also a lovely designated lawn area with summer house, garden furniture and gas BBQ, this leads on to three acres of woodland to explore. Private off-road parking for up to four cars is located on the driveway.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Very warm welcome on arrival supplied with Wellington boots, cream tea and bottle of fizz. Lovely hosts next door provided dog treats bowls, towels and poo bags plus veg from garden and a cake for us during our stay. We had a wonderful stay in August 2019. The property is beautiful and extremely comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the stunning views from the back, and the patio area is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet the area has to offer. This cottage provided everything we needed for a dog friendly holiday and provided the space and comfort for us. It was cold and wet during our stay so it was lovely to arrive back to find the cottage warm and cosy. The floors are easy to keep clean and the porch means you can separate the dogs to get them dry. This cottage has been beautifully designed and has every comfort and equipment you can think of. It is very well equipped with our only very slight criticism being the lack of a good size fridge freezer, so not quite enough for all the food and booze we had. Just returned from a week at The Byre and we had the most fantastic time. Situated in a perfect location, so peaceful but close enough for plenty of days out. There was nothing that John and Sarah didn't think of and the standard of the house itself was amazing. Would one hundred per cent recommend.
