This pretty property nestles in a back street in the ever popular and vibrant resort of Newquay. A short walk from the beach and local amenities providing a great base for a fun-filled coastal holiday.

Nestling in the heart of Newquay, you will find some of the country's finest beaches within an easy stride of your front door, and the town centre is just around the corner and offers a vast selection of shops, restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes. Visit some of the towns all year-round attractions including Newquay Zoo, Waterworld, the Blue Reef Aquarium and Dairyland. Alternatively, head out on the Atlantic Highway, and a short drive will take you to Watergate Bay, popular with surfers and kite surfers and home to Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall restaurant. Other attractions and places of interest close by include the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, Boscastle, Port Issac and Padstow.

Stepping into the delightful property and through the hallway with lovely original period tiles, you will find yourself in the spacious lounge/diner. Here, original decorative fire surrounds sit at either end of the room, and in the lounge area, cosy leather sofas sit in front of a TV and Blu-ray DVD. The next room on the ground floor and approached via a step down from the hallway, is a beautifully light and bright kitchen with breakfast table and chairs and a door leading to outside. Here, you will find everything that you need to make a home cooked meal, including an electric Range oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Venturing up the stairs and as you approach the first floor, you will find the beautifully presented bathroom with freestanding roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. From here, a few more steps take you to the first floor and a single bedroom with additional pull-out bed (which can be used to accommodate an additional guest if required) and a king-size bedroom. The final room in the house is a compact yet pretty attic room with vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, and this is approached via steep ship-style steps and offers a double bed with en-suite shower and WC. Additional info: Please ensure dogs are kept downstairs.

Heading outside and to the rear of the property, there is a small enclosed courtyard area with decking, garden furniture and BBQ (neighbouring properties have a right of way through this but it’s rarely used). Parking is available in a selection of nearby public carparks and weekly tickets and roamer passes (allowing you to explore the whole of Cornwall) can be purchased.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The house is wonderful the only problem was the parking as you cannot park outside the property, there are car parks but you have to find a space and stay there basically or you would easily lose it it's quite small.

Tolcarne Cottage is a wonderful home from home. So clean and well equipped. The bedding and towels were lovely quality and the beds are super comfortable. The owners have thought of every little detail and it truly feels as if they really want you to have a wonderful stay. Cottage is in a great location in Newquay, on the edge of town and with Tolcarne and Great Western beaches literally five minutes walk away. Shops and entertainment within very easy walk. Cottage is cosy and very well presented; clean and nicely furnished.

We have just returned from 7 nights and would high recommend this cottage. It was a real home from home. Very clean, comfy beds, beautiful bedding and towels, everything you need is there. A great location in Newquay. We didnt want to come home.

Tolcarne Cottage was lovely, cosy and welcoming with everything we needed for a cheeky last minute March break. It was a short walk to a number of local beaches, which out of season was great for dog walking. The shops and pubs /restaurants, again just a short walk from the cottage so ideal if you want to leave the car and enjoy the fresh air and wRead morealk. Hide

The owner Mark was helpful on the few queries we had. The house was very clean and tidy upon arrival. So close to the centre which makes it a perfect location for a holiday. Lovely bathroom and kitchen. Great size fridge with ice machine. We would definitely visit this home again.
