This property is situated on the edge of the village of Sidbury in East Devon. The village has a popular pub, The Red Lion, which is within an easy walk of the property and makes a great place to spend an evening enjoying a quiet drink. The attractive regency town of Sidmouth is just three miles south of the property, and offers two beautiful beaches, historic buildings, cosy coffee shops, restaurants, and a range of shops. Further afield, but still within easy reach, there are plenty of local attractions and attractive towns, including Lyme Regis, Beer Caves, Seaton Tramway, and the Pecorama Railway Museum. If you'd prefer to leave the car behind, the local bus to Sidmouth and Exeter stops 300 yards along the lane from the property.

This property provides attractive accommodation for two, and is a lovely place to get away from the stresses and strains of daily life. The ground-floor living area is thoughtfully styled and comprises an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa, lovely leather armchairs, TV/DVD, making it a great place to relax with a glass of wine in the evenings. The dining table separates the lounge space from the contemporary kitchen area, which is equipped with oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The shower room and separate WC is also located on the ground floor of the property. Stairs lead from the living space up to the first-floor which is where you will find the bedroom which has sloping ceilings, with restricted head height, due to its position in the eaves of the house. It is a restful sanctuary-like double room, with large chest of drawers, dressing table and tasteful monochrome art.

Outside, the property enjoys a pretty, enclosed tiered garden with bistro style seating and BBQ.

This holiday accommodation was perfect. The rustic touches made it something special. We used the local buses every day to various places of interest. The walk from Otterton to Budleigh was one of our favourite days out, also Beer to Seaton. Neither of these walks too long ideal for couple of oldies. Lovely cottage, and garden area, with all the equipment you could require, unfortunately from the windows on the ground floor you can only see bushes, so its difficult to know what the weather is. Nice comfortable bed, but due to slope on the ceiling not suitable for tall people

This is a very clean, comfortable and warm cottage. The local pub is about 10 mins away, The Red Lion, which serves excellent food and beer (Otter bitter) but you do have to book as you do the Hare & Hounds about 4 miles towards Honiton.
