Stepping into the property through the porch into the entrance hall, with the kitchen and conservatory/breakfast room in front of you, well-fitted and equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Also, on the ground floor is the stylish shower room with shower and WC, accessed through the spacious utility area with washing machine. Step through into the lounge/diner from the entrance hall where you will find a Hobbit wood burner, perfect for chilly evenings and TV/DVD so you can watch your favourite TV shows and movies. From here step down into the garden room with comfy seating, triple aspect windows overlooking the garden, radio/CD player and a well stocked bookshelf. Little ones will love the play room with a selection of games, toys, TV/DVD and bean bags. There is also a greenhouse with 40 year old grape vine and a summer house with seating in a shaded quiet part of the garden to enjoy some quiet time and there is also an outside table tennis table and various outdoor games to keep the younger, or older one's entertained! We have had three wonderful weeks at Highfield. The house itself is so spacious and comfortable and with everything you could possibly need. The garden was the real surprise. It is stunning and a true sanctuary to relax in and enjoy the birds, the trees and the bears that keep such good company. Very good communication with the owners and also a veRead morery friendly approach by Holiday Cottages when booking the property (especially for us that live abroad). Highly recommend Hide

Lovely bungalow with a stunning garden! The gifts and anniversary card was a very generous touch and greatly appreciated. Very relaxing place to stay. There was some noise from nearby construction work but it didn't particularly affect our stay. Topsham is nearby and is a really pretty town.

Highfields exceeded our expectations for holiday let with family. There are 2 lounges, a conservatory and a play room so plenty of space to spread out. A very nice property with immaculate facilities and a nice garden. It is a short walk into Topsham with its pubs and restaurants. Exeter and Exmouth are a short bus or train ride away. There are many Devon towns and villages which are only a short drive away as well as lots of interesting walks.

A lovely bungalow with an incredible garden. There is at present a building site next door, but we didn't find it too intrusive. It was perfect for our grown up family, with room to be together and spread out. It was very comfortable with everything you could need. First class bungalow equipped with everything you might need and more. Garden is stunning but the current building site adjoining the property is noisy during the day. We had a fabulous few days in this stunning holiday cottage, thoroughly enjoyed exploring Topsham, Sidmouth, Exmouth and Exeter Cathedral. Owners were really helpful and thoughtful, would definitely stay here again.
