Hartland is a flourishing, friendly village, with a shop, 2 pubs and a café. The village resides in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the north westerly coast of North Devon. With many beautiful places to explore why not visit the Hartland Peninsula with miles of inspiring clifftop walks, secluded beaches and marine wildlife to take in. Take a visit to Hartland Point for its hidden lighthouse, zig-zag rock formations and legends of the many shipwrecks in the water below, whilst Hartland Quay offers a dramatic coastline, bold geology and panoramas from Lundy Island to Cornwall. Hartland Abbey, 1.5 miles away is a historic property open to the public and regularly used for filming dramas and feature films. You could visit the award-winning gardens at Docton Mill (3.5 miles) and enjoy afternoon tea or walk around the lovingly restored gardens. For those who like to swim, there are beaches nearby and the sea pool at Bude (16.5 miles) Boscastle and Tintagel in North Cornwall are under an hours drive away (23-33 miles)
Take in the charm of this traditional Devon cottage, with the entrance being the perfect place to leave your walking boots behind. You then step into the cosy lounge where the warming wood burner will entice you to sit back and relax amongst the tasteful soft furnishings that blend simply with the rustic charm. The kitchen area, contemporary in style has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment and is perfect for preparing a romantic supper for two. When the day is done, climb the spiral iron staircase where you will find the delightful master king-size bedroom. You will find the bathroom across the landing with a small bath, separate shower and WC.
Outside the cottage set amongst other traditional cottages, there is a small patio garden to the front ( this also serves as access to the cottage next door). There are various seating areas where you can enjoy your morning coffee with a book. Roadside parking is available (subject to availability) or alternatively there is a free long stay car park located nearby, only a 3 minute walk away.
