This property is located close to the harbour in Brixham, a lovely seaside town situated on Torbay. Three towns are clustered around the bay: Torquay, Paignton, and Brixham itself, which is situated on the western side. The other towns are both less than a thirty-minute drive from Brixham, but there is also a ferry that runs across the bay to Torquay which makes a daytrip to the resort town even more special. Brixham is a lovely town with a thriving harbour, a good range of shops and restaurants, several beaches, and even an interesting replica of the Golden Hind which is fully-accessible to visitors and offers a glimpse at life on the Tudor ship that circumnavigated the world.
On arrival, guests are welcome into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is on the ground-floor and is a clear example of the tasteful shabby-chic style which gives the cottage a lovely homely feel. The lounge area, at the front of the room, offers views of the bay, which can be enjoyed from the comfortable sofas, or you can sit back and enjoy the Smart TV and DVD player with selection of films and family games. The wood burner here gives the room a lovely cosy feel, even in the coldest months. The dining area, with its hand-painted furniture, sits between the lounge and the kitchen area, which is accessed via one step up, and is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Wooden stairs lead to the first floor, where the master bedroom suite is located. This spacious room has a wonderful view of the bay, and benefits from an en-suite shower and WC. The main bathroom is also on this floor, and has a sumptuous roll-top bath with handheld shower, and WC. The remaining two bedrooms can be found on the second floor: a cosy single room and a good-sized twin, again with fabulous sea views.
