This cosy Peak District cottage is nestled in the popular village on Winster, hidden in the limestone hills and surrounded by beautiful scenery and is a great cottage for couples and small families.

The village of Winster is famous for its Morris dancers, the annual Shrove Tuesday pancake race, Wakes festivities in June and the Secret Gardens of Winster event in July. Within the village there is a well stocked community owned general store incorporating a Post Office. There are two pubs, both serving food and traditional beer. And of course the village church which bells chime regularly. Bakewell, Matlock, Chatsworth House and the Peak Rail Steam Railway are all nearby and for keen walkers and cyclists, The Limestone Way runs along the edge of the village. The Tissington and High Peaks walking and cycling trails, with bike hire available, both lie less than five miles from the village, a wonderful base for exploring the Peak District.

Stepping into the cottage leads you into the lounge with wood burner effect electric fire and comfortable seating, this is the place to kick your boots off and relax after a day in the hills. Leading through into the quaint kitchen/diner with a dining space lending itself to a lazy breakfast, and the kitchen provides for all your culinary needs with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and washing machine. Up the traditional cottage stairs the master bedroom boasts a king-size four poster bed you won’t want to leave in the morning. There is also a single bedroom overlooking the rear garden. The bathroom offers a shower over the bath and WC.

Lovely well-equipped property in a charming village with two decent pubs. Well-located for walkers with trails straight from the house. Dog friendly - wooden floors and a secure rear garden.

Lovely cottage in the Dales area of the Peak District. Great village with local shop and 2 traditional pubs (good food). The cottage is well equipped in a 'modern cottage' way and very cosy. Lovely cottage garden if the weather permits. Nothing really to fault it. Would go back again.

Property is advitised as suitable for family's with dogs and children , but the stairs are very steep and dangerous for small children and the garden patio has a steep drop to the concrete path which our dog nearly feel off several times .

We thought it was a lovely cosy comfortable cottage. Perfectly equipped and a great location for exploring the Peak District National Park. The village shop and pub were friendly and welcoming. We could walk from the cottage and we also enjoyed cycling. It was exactly what we were hoping for! Thank you
