This beautifully restored red brick barn sits within the grounds of a listed manor house with far reaching views across to the Long Mynd, a perfect base for couples whatever the time of year.

This property’s idyllic location in the southern Shropshire Hills makes it an ideal location for wildlife enthusiasts, cyclists and keen walkers alike with many well marked paths easily accessible to include the Shropshire Way, Herefordshire Way and Offa's Dyke offering miles of scenic walks close to the border. Other places of interest in the area include Ludlow a vibrant market town that has regular farmers market, a medieval castle and a well attended food festival in September.  A little further afield you will find the towns of Iron Bridge, Leominster and Bishops Castle. The area is also rich in National Trust houses and gardens that open throughout the year, and for historians why not visit Powis or Stokesay Castle.

Take in the views across the orchard of mature fruit trees before stepping into this beautifully finished barn. A spacious lounge/kitchen/diner offers a warm welcome, with vaulted ceilings show casing exposed beams and brick work that complement the contemporary colours and furnishings that the owner has carefully chosen. The lounge area is the perfect place to relax, light the wood burner on a chilly evening, curl up with a book or enjoy a good film on the TV. The kitchen/diner is open to the lounge with a well-equipped kitchen that’s great for a simple supper with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a simple breakfast bar with stools just perfect for dining. And when the day is done there is a king-size bedroom with views onto the gardens, there is also a shower room with shower and WC on the ground floor.

Lovely cottage in a delightful rural location. Beautiful views from the garden. Although another holiday let next door you couldn't hear anything. Expect it's the thickness of the old barn walls! Apple, plum and pear trees along the drive at the front of the property add character. Cottage is perfectly equipped and very clean.

Oven, shower very efficient, bed very comfortable, good walks, shame no pub but there is a Saturday bus to Ludlow - would recommend the Fish Shop, cheese shop and Tesco is down the hill. Good selection of glassware at the barn including champagne flutes...
