This is a lovely period cottage, very well equipped, and very comfortable. It provides easy access to the Rye, Hastings and Tunbridge Wells areas, as well as several National Trust properties such as Bodiam Castle and Batemans, the home of Richard Kipling. The road outside is quite busy, but both front and back gardens were enclosed, so it didn't pRead morerove a problem for us. There were lovely woodland walks for the ddog, not too far away, and he had a wonderful time! Would definitely recommend. Hide

A delightful and cozy cottage. Comfortable. Good woodburner with extra supplies of firewood provided. Conveniently situated for local dog walks & nice pubs for meals.

Superb cottage and excellent value for money. Spotless clean and lots of thoughtful extras. DVD library very much appreciated. Ample parking and well located for many tourist attractions.

Nice, comfortable cottage, more dog tolerable than dog friendly due to busy road and outdoor area.

Very enjoyable and relaxing weekend. Exactly what we needed. Nothing bad to say at all about our experience.

The cottage is situated close to great destinations all a short drive away. It had everything you need to cook meals and a good oven/hob. The main road outside does have a lot of fast traffic and so we wouldnt recommend walking along the road at night. We found the cottage cold and needed a fire most nights (plus we used the additional oil filled rRead moreadiator in the otherwise un-heated breakfast room). The door jams are also very low to the bathroom and twin room (5ft max) - ouch!! Hide
