This property is located just a short walk from the seafront in the Meads Village area of Eastbourne, and within easy access to South Downs National Park. The beach at this side of town is quieter than the town’s main beach and has a more laid-back feel to it, and is backed on one side by pretty Italian-style gardens. There is a thriving community in Meads Village, and there is a good choice of shops, restaurants, and pubs just a few minutes from the property’s front door. Eastbourne town centre is just a mile’s walk along the seafront, or a short bus journey away, and offers a traditional beach with beach hut hire, the lovingly restored Victorian pier, and seaside shops.
The owners have thoughtfully styled this cottage to create a wonderfully restful retreat for two. On arrival, guests first come to the lounge, a lovely light room with a warming gas fire, There is a sofabed which can be convert to a bed if required, a vintage-style dresser, and a TV. From the lounge, a door leads through to the kitchen which is another pleasant light-filled space, offering an oven, gas hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. The washing machine, meanwhile, can be found housed in a separate utility shed to the rear of the property. A doors opens onto steep, turned stairs, which take guest to the first floor accommodation. Here, guests will find a restful king-size room with wrought iron bedstead, stripped wooden floors, cosy rugs, and a wardrobe. Also on the first floor is the spacious bathroom which offers a bath with handheld shower along with a power shower over and WC.
Outside, there is a pretty, enclosed courtyard garden to the rear of the property where guests will find a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying al fresco drinks whilst taking in the sea air. There is roadside parking close to the house (subject to availability) for which a permit for one car is supplied.
