Reached up a long tree-lined driveway this beautiful property provides the perfect getaway for families and larger groups. Once you enter you'll never want to leave but if you can drag yourself away then there a day trips aplenty on the doorstep. Robin Hood's Bay or Whitby with its historic Abbey and blue flag beach are about an hours drive away. Alternatively a day out in York provides something for everyone with fabulous shopping, the stunning cathedral, Railway Museum or Jorvik Viking Centre just a few of the great places to visit. Within walking distance from the property, through the private wood, is a path leading to Yorkshire Air Museum & Allied Forces Memorial. Also just a short distance away is the York Maze, the largest maze in the UK.

An imposing entrance hall welcomes you to into the house, venture to the left and you'll find the formal ,drawing room with plenty of fun board games, pool table, small football table and Bagatelle board to enjoy. Kick off your shoes and sink into the comfortable Chesterfield sofas in front of the impressive open fire. To the right, you will find the hub of the house, an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The kitchen area is well-equipped with two electric ovens and a 5 burner induction hob, steamer oven, built in microwave, two dishwashers, larder drink fridge with ice compartment, coffee machine, blender, island and breakfast bar. There is a cosy seating area in front of the woodburner under the large skylight, where you can enjoy afternoon tea and plan your adventures or simply enjoy watching a film on the Smart TV and DVD with surround sound. Leading through the archway takes you to the formal dining area where you can enjoy a lovely meal, where there is also a door to the garden. A large utility room can be found off the kitchen with an American style fridge/freezer with water and ice dispenser, washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading back to the entrance hall you will find a separate WC and staircase leading up to the first floor. The first floor consists of two king-size bedrooms, one accessed under a low'ish beam, one with dual aspect windows looking over the garden, a twin bed room (with Smart TV) and zip & link superking (which can be split into a twin on request - also with Smart TV). There are two bathrooms on this floor, one bathroom with shower over the freestanding bath and WC (which can be locked off and used as an ensuite bathroom to the adjacent king-size bedroom) and a large shower room with rainfall shower with WC.

Heading outside there is an extensive fully enclosed garden complete with outdoor WIFI, summer house with patio area and garden furniture for al fresco dining and two charcoal BBQs for those warm summer evenings. The garden also has a fire pit with seating, ideal for toasting marshmallows and enjoying those clear night skies. There is also outdoor table tennis and lots of other garden games available for you to use. There is ample off-road parking for up to 6 cars on the driveway.  Access to 3.5 private wood, The Old Plantation, which features WW2 remnants and offers a short cut to the Yorkshire Air Museum.

A fabulous holiday cottage! Very well equipped indeed and some really great extras (the fire pit at the end of the beautiful garden was particularly welcome). The owners are very helpful... highly recommended.

Our week at Brinkworth Park House was delightful. The owners gave very clear instructions for arrival at the property & very helpfully left detailed instructions for all aspects of our stay. Having recently returned from this property I cannot speak highly enough of it. Its location, perfect for driving to the center of York and or visiting surrounding areas. The most generous welcome tray ever. A very well equipped home for self catering and any eventuality. Suitable for a group of friends, multigenerational or families. The garden is very secure enabling us as dog owners to relax. The kitchen/lounge/diner certainly has the wow factor and we were kept lovely and toasty even in the snow. We've just had the most amazing family gathering for my mums 80th and Christmas at Brinkworth Park House. Everything was 5*. This was a lovely roomy and attractive house for a three generation family. The kitchen and equipment is far superior to the normal rental. The pool table in the drawing room was very well used as was the football game and board games. Had an amazing stay at the property, kitchen was very well equipped (much better than a lot of properties who provide very little). All the property was very clean making it feel like home. Beautiful house with excellent facilities. We were eight friends and the house provided the perfect place to catch up. The fire pit and log circle in the garden were lovely in the evening. We had a wonderful stay at Brinkworth Park House. Everything we wanted and needed was in the house. We absolutely loved the games room aka drawing room. We had some great evenings in there. Lovely setting. The garden was great for the kids and dogs, plus a nice walk just up the lane. Very close to the park and ride making it really easy to get into York. Brinkworth Park House is an outstanding accommodation. Spacious, comfortable, well-equipped with quality items, every attention to detail, and very homely. The hosts Jane and Martin were so helpful. The garden is enclosed and dog-friendly, with an additional large area to walk the dog. Nothing negative to say.

Simply wonderful house in a lovely setting amongst the trees . The location is ideal for a relaxing holiday and yet only 15 mins drive to York . Jane and Martin are lovely hosts very helpful but not intrusive at all. The kitchen is superbly equipped it has everything one could need. A beautifully comfortable and spacious house set in a lovely location with a large garden to enjoy the outdoors. Toasting marsh mellowes over the fire pit was fun! The house was very well equiped, with lots of nice touches. We all enjoyed a fabulous week and hope to return one day.

This is just wonderful holiday accommodation. It is spacious, luxurious and has everything anyone could need for a stay away from home. The attention to detail, the provisions and the information are just perfect. Jane and Martin are lovely and very helpful hosts. 5 star does not do justice to Brinkworth Park House.

the house was absolutely perfect and we had an amazing weekend. We had everything we needed and more. The grounds are lovely and great firepit.
