This superb two bedroom home is situated in a peaceful location in the heart of Cambridgeshire making it convenient for day trips to a diverse range of attractions in the area.

Whether it’s a quiet relaxing break or a moment to celebrate, there are plenty of activities to cater for all tastes when staying in this charming area. Visit the city of Cambridge with its architectural university buildings, museums and gardens and independent shops, cafes and restaurants, as is the city of Ely, known for its magnificent cathedral. Those that like a flutter, or even just the spectacle will enjoy the races at Newmarket, and the Imperial War Museum in Duxford is one of the most popular attractions in the region. The National Trust property of Anglesey Abbey is within walking distance of the property renowned for its snowdrops in Spring or the spectacular winter lights walk throughout the Autumn.

Designed by the owners and decorated in stylish neutral tones to create a beautiful and sophisticated home from home. From its impressive vaulted ceiling and stone floorings to the little details such as movement sensing lighting in the bathroom, this property will provide a fantastic base for adults and older children, to enjoy in comfort. Guests enter via the entrance hall which will lead to the contemporary kitchen/breakfast room with vaulted ceiling and large island creating useful breakfast bar. Those wishing to cook up a storm will find the contemporary kitchen well-equipped with two electric ovens and a hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge/diner also features a high vaulted ceiling giving a light and airy feel but for those colder nights a cosy atmosphere can easily be created with the wood burner. There is a dining table ideal for any celebratory meal and a sofa and armchairs to relax in front of the TV/DVD. The corner bi-folding doors allow the lounge and patio area to become one entertaining area and provide a wonderful cooling breeze through the warmer months. Leading from the kitchen are two good sized bedrooms one is a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) the second is a twin zip-and-link (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request) giving any guest party flexible sleeping arrangements. Finishing the accommodation is a stylish shower room with shower and WC.

Outside guests can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on the patio area with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ. There is a large lawned area with attractive flower beds providing a riot of colour in the summer and a covered seating area for those wishing for a quiet moment to relax with a morning coffee or glass of wine. There is also a large timber shed which can be useful for bicycle storage. The gated gravel driveway provides off-road parking for three cars.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, well equipped, modern, clean & comfortable. Kay (the owner) was very helpful and communicative before and during our stay, on hand to answer any questions we had. The whole place was gorgeous but we particularly loved the kitchen. It was definitely the hub of the home. We did limited cooking but every need is cRead moreatered for in terms of equipment. The grounds in which the cottage are set were stunning! Beautifully, modern and extremely well presented cottage. Plenty of kitchen pans, crocks,utensils etc. Brill shower. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. Huge garden. Ideal for our family of four (2 adults, 2 children). Both bedrooms were spacious, even with king sized bed in ours. The wifi is excellent - I ran a speed test early evening and got 50 mbs, which is about as good as you can get. We brought our own fire TV box, no issues streaming amazon prime and netflix. Our stay at Wheelwrights was idyllic. Kay and Paul did were so helpful and had done an amazing job in keeping everything scrupulously clean re Covid. The cottage has plenty of space for 4 adults and the outside areas are gorgeous. The patio is sheltered for sitting and dining at aby time of day and the huge garden with gazebo gave us plenty of spacRead moree to play games and have drinks inbetween. What a wonderful weeks holiday we have just had in a fabulous holiday home which allowed me to see my daughter after 5 months. Kay the owner was lovely ringing me the week before we came down to explain all the new Covid rules and left us a welcome package. Very friendly and officiant owner that met us in couple of minutes when we arrived . We stayed with a small baby it was more then enough room for her to run around the kitchen in her walker . The shower was amazing huge shower head was just great !! In the sitting room there was a log burner which was great and a lot of heat came out once we lit itRead more !! It was a fabulous property. 5*s all round. It lacked for nothing even to oodles of coat hangers instead of the usual measly 3/4. if it were nearer we would be back like a shot.

Lovely modern building in a pretty village location. Good parking facilities and beautiful garden to sit out in and listen to the birds singing and squirrels running around.
