This property has a commanding location at the top of the cliffs with 180 degree sea views. It has been refurbished in a contemporary style whilst retaining many period features, creating an idyllic retreat all year round.

The harbour, beach, restaurants and shops are situated within a short car journey or a walk along the coastal path, making this property perfect for enjoying the many facilities the seaside town has to offer. Or, just relax whilst gazing out to sea and watching the boats go to and from. Further afield you have local attractions including the picturesque coastal village of Woolacombe which boast a three mile long golden sandy beach, pubs, restaurants and shops. As well as The National Trust's Arlington Court, Watermouth Castle and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.

Entering this remarkable coastal retreat into the porch area, which is a perfect place for leaving your coats and boots behind. To the left is the light and airy lounge area, which boasts dazzling views of the sea through the french doors which lead out onto the balcony area. It has been stylishly furnished offering the perfect space to relax after a long day at the beach and includes a wood burner, TV and Blu-ray and stereo player which allows you to plug in your iPod. Following on through the property you enter the kitchen/diner, which is equipped with an electric oven and hob and dishwasher. To the rear of the kitchen is a small utility area offering a fridge with ice compartment, microwave and washing machine. From the kitchen area you can access the rear garden via a set of concrete steps. Heading up the stairs, you will find three bedrooms, a double, a twin and a single. You will also find the bathroom with hand-held shower over the bath and WC, on this floor.

The balcony area is a truly great spot for enjoying your morning coffee whilst watching as the boats come to and from, as well as offering spectacular views out to sea and towards Ilfracombe itself. Venturing outside to the beautiful tiered rear garden, which can be accessed via the kitchen or shared access. The first tier offers a small lawn area great for your four-legged friend. You will also find a very handy wet room with shower and WC, great for those days when you come straight off the beach. The second tier offers garden furniture and beautiful sea views whilst you dine al fresco. There are two off-road parking spaces which are located approximately 50 feet from the property. Please note neighbouring properties have right of way to access their own gardens if required, via a footpath at the back of the garden.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We ( plus our two dogs) had the most wonderfully relaxed few days at the cottage. We couldnt possibly fault a single thing..it was cosy, warm, inviting and with a view to absolutely die for. We walked the coastal path, trekked across Saunton Sands, explored the harbour in Ilfracombe and drove to Linton in the rain and heavy mist for an ice cream, jRead moreust because we could! Lovely, comfortable cottage in stunning location with amazing views. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Secure garden for dog & lower terrace wonderful sun trap. We had an excellent week here.

The cottage really was a home from home. Owner really helpful too. The weather wasn't the best for us, having the cosy cottage to come to was a blessing. The location is brilliant, with both Hele Bay and Ilfracombe walking distance. We also walked to Little Hangman. The cottage is on the coast path and all paths are really well signposted. This cottage was perfect for our family of four plus a dog. It is well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing week away. The setting is stunning, situated on the coastal path and with sea views from the balcony area and the beautiful garden. Easy walks to Hele bay and to Combe Martin. Great location with wonderful sea views! Cottage is welcoming, comfortable and is well equipped. Surf beaches 20-30 mins drive at Woolacombe and Suanton.

We loved staying in Coastguard Cottages. The position is perfect, on top of the cliff, looking out to sea. On a sunny morning Ilfracombe is bathed in sunlight. The house is so comfortable and warm that we barely noticed the storms outside, except that we could watch the changing sea and sky from the warmth of the lounge. The cottage was beautiful. Located on a high point overlooking the sea. The owners have decorated it with quality furnishings and it was warm and homely. There are a couple of little quirks that some people may find off putting, steep steps into the garden and a shower room that is accessed from the outside, but these pale into insignificance compaRead morered to the overall standard and location of the cottage. Fabulous views, private and very homely cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the wood burner made things especially cosy after a day out exploring the area when the weather was a bit wild.

The cottage is in a fabulous location , with breathtaking views of the sea. Very comfortable beds , and sofas . Extremely well equipped kitchen , and loads of attractive crockery . The garden is well maintained and fenced front and back to keep your dog safe. The view of the sea from Coastguard Cottages is almost hypnotic, stunning sunsets, crashing waves and quietness of the surrounding area all lend the property to being the perfect place to sit and recuperate, forgetting about the stresses of life. Just returned from a wonderful week at Coastguard Cottage. The cottage is beautiful, probably one of the best equipped we have stayed in. Comfortable beds, good quality towels and even throws, towels and bowls for the dog. The view from the balcony and garden is stunning at every time of day but sunset is when it is breathtaking.
