A stylish period cottage in an elevated position in Penmaenmawr, with stunning coastal views towards Puffin Island and Anglesey. Perfect to explore North Wales coast and Snowdonia National Park.

Penmaenmawr coastal town lies on the North Wales coast, between Conwy and Llanfairfechan, offering a pub, shops, museum, sandy beach and even a golf course. From the doorstep join one of the many footpaths and routes to explore the stunning coast and countryside alongside Snowdonia National Park. Activities on offer include water sports, wildlife boat trips, fishing, cycling, mountain biking and walking. Visit World Heritage Site Conwy with its castle, harbour and pretty town or head to vibrant Llandudno with the Mostyn Contemporary Art Gallery, Venue Cymru and the longest pier in Wales. Both offer a superb range of shops and eateries. Nearby attractions include National Trust Penrhyn Castle, Surf Snowdonia and Zip World.

This cosy period cottage, beautifully refurbished in 2018, is full of charm and original features. The front door opens into the hall with a handy bench to take off your boots and hang your coats. Natural light floods the lounge/kitchen/diner with access to the garden. If you decide to eat in, the kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave to rustle up a bite to eat. The dining table is well positioned to gather round, enjoy a meal and plan your holiday activities. After dinner, relax in the comfy sofas by the wood burner, catch up on your news, read a book or watch a film on the Smart TV. On the first floor you can unwind in a bubble bath or take a refreshing shower in the light and airy bathroom with shower over bath and WC. There are two bedrooms, one double and one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request), both have been designed for a good nights sleep and offer lovey views from the window to wake up to. This cottage is a real pleasure to holiday in.

The garden has been creatively designed to make the most of the fabulous views towards Conwy Bay, Puffin Island and Anglesey, there is a patio area, perfect for al fresco dining with charcoal BBQ, table and chairs. Walk down the few steps to the courtyard and the rear entrance of the property. You will also find the utility room here with washing machine and lots of space for your wetsuits, climbing gear or for your bicycles and ample space to store a canoe. There is unrestricted roadside parking for two cars at the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Immaculately presented cottage ideal for exploring north wales. If however, like us, you have an energetic dog that likes good run this is not the cottage for you. The garden is far from ideal just a couple of small paved areas.

Our stay at this beautiful holiday cottage was the best we have ever had, it is conveniently situated so you can stroll to the local shops, the beach is also a lovely walk especially along the river, the cottage is very comfortable and you have everything you need, the wood burner is perfect for those cooler nights which is really easy to light witRead moreh one firelighter, there are instructions for how to light the fire but we are used to wood burners, the views of the sea and mountains are fabulous. Cottage was excellent,very clean and well equipped and in a lovely location with views across to Puffin Island. Fresh flowers,Welsh cakes and a bottle of milk had been left for our arrival which was very welcoming. Felt very homely and cosy with the log burner...parking was a little hairy but would definitely return.

The cottage was very nice got plenty of space. The log burner did take some lighting a lot more than ours at home which was a bit disappointing but had the central heating to fall back on The walk to the beach and town is not far

Beautiful well equipped cottage in a great location, some Welsh tea cakes and milk for our arrival was a lovely gesture. There are some lovely walks nearby and a really friendly local pub. We drove into Conwy too along the Sychnant pass with has some gorgeous views and conwy has some great unusual shops to browse around. Garden is really secure as Read morewe took our little dog. Only thing I would say is when you arrive pls read the directions and don't rely on your sat nav. Will definitely return. Hide

Penmaenmawr is a wonderful base from which to explore North Wales. Werdnas Cottage is simply decorated but incredibly comfortable. Lovely welcoming touches including Welsh cakes and a bottle of milk..... great for my partners cuppa...... and wine........great for me after our journey. Clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated. Excellent instructions for using the woodburner, if needed, and an initial supply of logs and kindling included. Everything we needed was there - washing machine in the outhouse, but easily accessible. Fantastic cottage. Homely, beautifully decorated, well-equipped, spacious and spotlessly clean. Treats and provisions left for us on arrival. We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. Beautiful location with wonderful views and very comfortable. Penmaenmawr is a very convenient place for exploring North Wales on foot, by car or bus (on an excellent bus route for travel between Caernarfon and Llandudno). Great location, close to main expressway but quiet and peaceful, short walk to beach and local shops (hill gets a little slippery on the way to the beach and one section is steep but I'm sure there are alternative routes that are slightly longer but avoid this steep patch). Fabulous cottage which has been renovated to a very high standard. An ideal location to visit North Wales And has an awesome view of the sea. A great enclosed garden area for the dog. Great size for a family of four or two couples. Would definitely consider a return visit.
