This property is located right at the heart of the somewhat quirky seaside town of Whitstable, just off the main street and opposite a welcoming pub. The town is awash with places to eat and specialises particularly in the local seafood which is still brought into the town’s attractive harbour. The shops in the town are perfect for an afternoon spent browsing, as they are mainly independent boutiques which are sure to delight shoppers who are looking for something a little different than they would find in the usual high street stores. The pretty beach is great for enjoying seaside walks all year round, and it is possible to walk around the bay to the nearby of Tankerton and Seasalter, or even on to the neighbouring town of Herne Bay, some five miles away.

The front door of this cottage opens onto the light and airy lounge, with its carefully chosen furnishings, TV/DVD, and warming wood burner in the exposed stone fireplace. This room leads onto the separate dining room, which in turn, leads to the sleek and contemporary galley-style kitchen where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, and washing machine. A wet room with WC is also located on the ground floor. Stairs from the dining room lead to the first floor, where there are two bedrooms as well as a bathroom which boasts a bath, separate shower, and WC. The first of the bedrooms on this floor is a pretty king-size room, whilst the second is a restful double. The third bedroom, accessed through the double bedroom via steep stairs, can be found on the second floor: a light-filled twin room which has a sloping ceiling and therefore some reduced head-height.

Outside, there is a private patio garden at the front for guests to enjoy, as well as a handy side alley which can be used for storing bikes, or canoes, etc. Unusually for the town centre, there is private parking available for one car.

  • 3 bedrooms: 1 king-size, 1 double and 1 twin which is accessed through the double bedroom and up steep stairs
  • 2 bathrooms: 1 wet room with WC on the ground floor and 1 family bathroom with bath, separate shower, and WC
  • Oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso Original coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine
  • Wood burner
  • Smart TV and DVD in the lounge
  • Patio garden at the front with table and chairs
  • Private parking for 1 car
  • Shops, pubs, and beach within walking distance
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • Sorry, no dogs allowed
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Lovely cottage with lots of great touches, shower and soap dispensers etc. We had a fantastic time right in the heart of Whitstable. We would thoroughly reccomend this cottage but very steep stairs to the top floor would not be suitable for young children or the elderly

This is a lovely cottage, well situated for exploring Whitstable with a handy parking space. As others have said, the stairs are steep so not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Lovely, cosy, well equipped cottage in a fantastic location. We loved how the cottage has been decorated - the owners have grest taste. We had a really great time - the beach and harbour are just a few minutes walk and the town had lots of nice independent shops and plenty of options to eat out. A lovely, cosy cottage in an excellent location with the added bonus of a parking space. You need to be aware that the stairs leading up the the twin room on the 2nd floor have very little headroom. It's fine once you're up there but our 6ft 4in son had to come down in reverse (like a ladder) as it was too low.

A lovely cottage and very well located, within easy walking to the main street and harbour. We knew about accessing the twin room through another bedroom but for an adult, lack of hanging space and mirror in that room was inconvenient. But otherwise it was charming, comfortable and well equipped. We had a lovely time.
