One of the loveliest holiday cottages we have rented. Well equipped, cosy yet extremely spacious for a 4 berth property and a fabulously quiet, rural setting - we watched deer in the fields right outside the front windows every day. Despite this, it's a very convenient location to hop onto the main road to get to the many great places on the JurassRead moreic coast. The only minor downside for us having a 4 year old, was that there is no upstairs toilet so a bit of a trek for her in the night. Hide

You would be hard pressed to find any negative criticisms for Dowerfield! Everything you could wish for is provided. The owners are immediately to hand but not intrusive. The cottage is immaculately clean yet cosy. Dowerfield is situated within isolated countryside with stunning views but is only 5 mins drive from the main roads providing easy acceRead moress to explore Dorset and its attractions. I adored the 'sun room' & ate all my meals there as the views irrespective of the weather are stunning. Hide

Wonderful cottage in a good location. The view is spectacular. In a very quiet, secluded spot, a car is a must. Great for relaxing, central for the Jurassic coast and surrounding towns and cities

It was a pleasure to stay here and we have already booked for next year. Dowerfield is spacious, interesting, comfortable, tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. We can recommend the tour of the farm to meet the pedigree Herefords too. We ate at the White Horse Inn one evening and the food was hearty, delicious, well- presented and decent valueRead more for money. Do check opening and food-serving times. Hide

Stunning location, spacious, well equipped and good value. What more could you want?! Our family (two adults, 8 year old, 10 year old) had a fantastic holiday in this beautiful cottage. Brilliant quiet location. Stunning scenery, and walking. The cottage was 'quirky', a bit maze-like, which added to the character of it. Very nice 'sunroom' which would be perfect further into the season, but a bit cold without sun. All in all a perfect break!
