Lovely clean cottage, much larger than expected. Well positioned for visiting numerous Dorset sites including beaches, Abbotsbury, Chesil and Symondsbury. The only downside being the trip to the toilet in the night but that became a family joke and would not put us off for a return visit.

One of the loveliest holiday cottages we have rented. Well equipped, cosy yet extremely spacious for a 4 berth property and a fabulously quiet, rural setting - we watched deer in the fields right outside the front windows every day. Despite this, it's a very convenient location to hop onto the main road to get to the many great places on the JurassRead moreic coast. The only minor downside for us having a 4 year old, was that there is no upstairs toilet so a bit of a trek for her in the night. Hide

It was a pleasure to stay here and we have already booked for next year. Dowerfield is spacious, interesting, comfortable, tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Brilliant quiet location. Stunning scenery, and walking. The cottage was 'quirky', a bit maze-like, which added to the character of it. Very nice 'sunroom' which would be perfect further into the season, but a bit cold without sun. All in all a perfect break!
