Peacefully tucked away within the Devonshire countryside, a simply charming property that’s further complimented by the stylish interior, perfect whatever the time of year.

Perfectly situated to ensure peace and tranquillity, this delightful retreat boasts spectacular views over the remarkable Devonshire countryside. Within walking distance of the property is the sought after village of Morchard Bishop, which offers a traditional village store/cafe and popular pub which is renowned for its food. For those looking for an adventure during their stay, then you must discover Dartmoor which is renowned for its changing landscape, stunning views, deep wooded valleys with fast flowing rivers and rugged, wide open spaces. Also nearby is the cathedral city of Exeter, which combines high street shopping with places of interest such as the Roman wall and the ancient cathedral. For those looking for the coast you have plenty to choose from, to the north you have the beautiful beach of Croyde which offers a large sandy beach and to the south you have the dramatic red cliffs of Sidmouth.

As you arrive at this delightful retreat, take a moment to enjoy the views from the decked area. As you walk through the bi-folding doors into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, which is arranged all on one level, to your left you have space to hang your jackets and put away your shoes. Enter into the lounge area which is the perfect place to sit back, unwind with a good book and have the wood burner roaring, or on a summers day pull back the bi-folding doors and let the summer breeze pass you by. The lounge also offers a Smart TV, Bluetooth sound bar and Blu-ray for those who enjoy a good movie or two. Leading off from the lounge is the kitchen area, which is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, and microwave. From the kitchen area is the master bedroom, which offers a king-size bed and plenty of hanging space. Next door to here is the shower room with WC.

Heading outside you are spoilt for choice, you have the choice of the decked area accessed from the lounge that has ample of seating, or the summer house which is known to be a sun trap and offers a charcoal BBQ and table and chairs for you to enjoy outside dining. Very comfortable and cosy accommodation in tranquil and private setting. Was larger than anticipated and made for a very relaxing break. The London Inn was closed and appeared to be undergoing a refurb, albeit there was no indication of if and when it might re-open. Highlight was a train trip on the Riviera line from Exeter to Paignton with a deligRead morehtful walk including ferry crossing in Teignmouth. A totally perfect holiday accommodation in every respect. The owners Richard and Barbara left us a cream tea of scones, jam and cream plus a bottle of fiz, home made biscuits, milk and plenty of tea and coffee. As we arrived late in the day and unable to stop off for supplies these were most appreciated. The wood lodge is beautiful and very well eqRead moreuipped and the garden view is stunning. The cabin was a delight to stay in lots of room, very comfy and lovely and warm either electric or log burner which isn't difficult to master and very well prepared with ample logs. Richard was very friendly and recommended some useful locations for day trips. Lovely, unobtrusive hosts and a beautiful location. Cabin cosy and very well equipped....had everything you could need. Lovely food in village pub, which also offers takeaway meals. We had a great, relaxed weekend break away from the stress of the world.
