A remarkable property which has been stylishly furnished throughout, offering peace and tranquillity, this property is the perfect base for couples looking to escape.

Set in an idyllic location within the owner’s grounds where privacy is assured. This beautiful cottage has been lovingly furnished to assure a peaceful stay. Located half a mile from delightful Broadclyst village and situated in the heart of the National Trust Killerton estate, it boasts beautiful countryside, woodlands and scattered thatched cottages. If it's the coast you are looking for, within a short drive are both sandy and pebble beaches, as well as coastal walks or fossil hunting on the Jurassic Coast. For a great day out, Killerton House, Bicton Gardens and Powderham Castle are all well worth visiting. The cathedral city of Exeter combines high street shopping with places of interest such as the Roman wall, the ancient cathedral and the quay area. Additionally 20 mins drive away is the River Exe Estuary at Topsham and Lympstone with many attractive pubs and restaurants.

Take in the charm of this delightful cottage, with the entrance being the perfect place to leave your walking boots behind. Here you also have the attractively designed wet room with shower and WC and across the hall the utility room with washing machine and basin. Following on through the property, take a couple steps up into the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. This is beautifully furnished by the owner allowing you to sit back and relax amongst the rich, soft furnishings and benefits from a TV and DVD player so you can watch your favourite TV programme or enjoy a good book in front of the wood burner. In the well-equipped kitchen area, with your fresh ingredients in hand, you can cook your evening supper. This kitchen offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, coffee machine and wine cooler, a truly great space for budding cooks. After a long day of exploring, head on upstairs where you will find the charming bedroom area, which offers a king-size bed and access to your private small balcony. Within the bedroom area the ceiling slopes so be aware this reduces the height space around the bed. Also due to limited hanging space, this property is suitable only for short stays or maximum of 7 nights.

Heading outside, enjoy your private enclosed patio area, with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ. There is also allocated parking for one car outside the property.

The cottage was beautifully presented and we felt welcome straight away. The facilities were thoughtfully planned out and they made self catering a pleasure. The garden area was pretty and good for drinks outside.
