Relax with loved ones in this beautiful detached barn boasting character and warmth, the location is great for those who love to explore the outdoors with diverse countryside surrounding the village.

Stay in a location where Cressbrook Dale joins the River Wye and Millers Dale becomes Monsal Dale. This puts the property at the very heart of some of the most classic Derbyshire dales scenery. The Dale sits between Buxton and Bakewell, and this beautiful part of the Peak District National Park is a walkers’ and cyclists’ paradise, with a number of stunning walks straight from the door. There are numerous cycle routes including, the Tissington Trail, High Peak Trail and Monsal Trail. Historical highlights in the area include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Eyam Hall, Peveril Castle and Bolsover Castle, all worth a visit.

Stepping into the welcoming barn, lands you in the kitchen/diner, which offers a serene country theme with cream units and oak effect worktops. There is everything you need for a home from home, such as electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, there is also a tumble dryer in the garage. Take time and enjoy a lazy breakfast at the kitchen table planning the day’s activities ahead. The nearby lounge is a wonderful place to relax, sink into the sofas and put your feet up by the wood burner and watch the TV, or open the double doors to the garden and let the fresh air flood in. There is a further snug with sofa and handy separate WC nearby. Upstairs on the first floor, the property offers a beautiful master bedroom with king-size bed complimented with exposed crook beams and en-suite shower room and WC. There is a further king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom which provides relaxing spaces for a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom presents a bath, separate shower and WC.

The garden is fully enclosed and boasts lovely views of the nearby dale, there is a table and chairs and BBQ to really make the most of the summer months by spending time with good company and relaxing. There is off-road parking for two cars.  At the rear of the garage there is a drying room with a heater, hanging rails and a boot rack.  It also houses a tumble dryer.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Really well located for numerous walking & climbing opportunities & sits right next to the Monsall Trail. The accommodation is very clean, exceptionally well equipped with everything you could want on a family holiday & comfortable

Fantastic barn to spend Christmas in and create special memories. Description on website is thoroughly accurate and I would not hesitate to book again . A very friendly little hamlet who invited us to their carols and brass band in Christmas morning! Stunning scenery and barn , thank you !

Beautiful barn conversion. Nice little touches such as milk, biscuits & tea on arrival. Lovely big kitchen, well equipped for cooking / baking! 2 fridges, one with small freezer section. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid / sponge and kitchen roll provided as well as soap and toilet roll in bathrooms. Fire was great although the cottage was loveRead morely and warm with the heating anyway! 35 minute walk to monsal head & hobbs caf. Driveway is tight if you have a large car but could park up on road. Hide

The cottage was lovely, very comfortable and in an area of stunning scenery. It was so lovely to be close to nature and in the mornings to listen to the birds singing and to hear the owls at night. I think I also heard the bats out at night and might have seen one. I had a lovely walk to Litton, the countryside was so beautiful. There is also so muRead morech to do nearby, we had days out to Chatsworth, Heights of Abraham, Crich Tramway museum, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and the Blue John Caverns. Hide

Fantastic location, so many things to do in the area. Chatsworth Estate is well worth visiting - house, gardens, farm, walks, farm shop, restaurants. Buxton & Bakewell lovely to visit and the cycle track along the Monsal Head well worth the effort The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely holiday!
