Ash cottage in Bouth was lovely, it was clean, comfortable and had everything you need for a holiday cottage. The location was very quiet and peaceful. If only there was a guaranteed parking space, this is the only reason we wont go there again, which is a great pity because we loved the cottage.

The cottage was lovely - well equipped and clean. Be aware that the bedrooms are split across two floors but there are bathrooms on both floors - just be aware if you need to be near small children. The location is good and we were able to explore the Lake District fully, the local farm was a particular delight. The only issue was with the parking Read more- there is parking outside but it's not designated to the cottage and as there's no parking for the neighbours they often take up the parking spaces. The property needs a little update and loving, (new fridge and dishwasher would be good) but the location of the property is fantastic and makes up for the downfalls. Meals at the White Hart are incredible, with access to other towns/villages nearby and nice walks on the doorstep.

Ash Cottage was clean and comfortable and well equipped, it is situated in a quiet village and has good access to visit anywhere in the Lake District. Parking at the cottage was for 2 nights taken by neighbours so had to use pub car park which luckily near by.

We had a fabulous stay at Ash Cottage. A wonderful location to explore the Lakes with our Labrador. The garden was an added bonus... would be even better in the summer! The pub down the road had a lovely atmosphere and the food was good.

There is no doubt that this cottage is beautiful and provides an amazing home feeling. It has a wide range of equipment and they provided wash up tablets which is helpful. However, I would not recommend this cottage for dog owners or large familys. The garden was not safe as they can gain access to other gardens and open road. The mini fridge made Read moreit harder to stock up on food therefore had to keep making regular trips to a Tescos which was 30mins away. The parking is not safe either. Hide
