5 stars all around, we rented it for a week for 10 people and it was more than capable of catering for all of us at once. The facilities were great and easy to use and so helped to make the holiday as relaxing as possible, couldnt recommend this house enough!

Beautiful and fabulous location. Ideal for a family get together. In the process of being modernised. Not all bedrooms have en-suite (only 2 upstairs, with very small shower cubicles) Beds extremely comfortable.

Great location and comfortable place to stay. Some corrections to the website though. 1) there is no tumble dryer. 2) of the 4 bedrooms upstairs, only 2 have ensuite toilet and shower, the other 2 share the family bathroom 3) the photos were taken a long time ago and there is no corner bath, some fabrics could do with replacing. Easy parking, but tRead morehe road is busy so stick to the paths instead. Remember to take extra towels for the hot tub! Hide

Great location, good house with plenty of equipment. The outside is in need of a little TLC which I understand the owners are undertaking soon.

Our first impression of Brigg House was not good. The property is in need of exterior renovation and painting; the grounds need to be cleaned and the gardens tidied. The garden furniture was old and shabby and insufficient quantity for our group. The interior was better, though some cupboard doors and other surfaces in the small kitchen, as well asRead more the downstairs bathroom, need a more thorough cleaning. Hot tub is a good feature, but there was no way to regulate temperature. Not good value. Hide

We loved our stay at spacious and comfortable.Brigg House. The hot tub and the hammocks were especially good. The location - quiet, secluded yet close to Coniston, Brown Howe "beach" and some great walks, was perfect. Negatives? The property has a lovely garden but needs an outside dining table and chairs. The local pub, due to COVID, would only seRead morerve us in a marquee and wouldn't allow us in, even for toilets (portaloos! Yuck). But we'd defintely go there again Hide

Lovely cottage, super comfortable with a really well equipped kitchen. Footpath right next to the house so could go out for walks without having to go on the road. If you get a supermarket delivery, would recommend getting it to the back door (left path looking at the house)
