This beautiful holiday home is ideally situated in a tranquil and picturesque village, perfect for exploring the wonders of the Lake District and with easy access to Cartmel Races.

Aynsome Manor Park lies just under a mile from the beautiful village of Cartmel, one of Cumbria’s finest villages. Set on the Cartmel Peninsula and surrounded by rolling hills, this lively village is centred on a sunny square where you can gather and sit, or dine in one of the many cosy inns and fine restaurants. Cartmel offers ancient buildings, an impressive medieval priory, a towering arch and a beautiful river as well as the UK’s smallest National Hunt racecourse and a local brewery. Beyond the village you can enjoy numerous walks including the Arnside Morecambe Bay Walk or the walk up to Hampsfell. The vibrant town of Kendal is nearby, or you could head to Thirlmere or Grizedale Forest.

This is one of a group of adjoining apartments and cottages that flank a small shared courtyard. The building was formerly an old mill but has been transformed into beautiful apartments. From the shared courtyard you enter a communal hall, then go into the property. A small hall area leads you through to a spacious and airy open-plan lounge/ kitchen/diner. The light and fresh lounge offers plenty of comfy seating where you can put your feet up, read the latest bestseller, or maybe take in a movie on the TV. To one side is the dining area with delightful views of the garden and duck pond. You will find the attractive kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, coffee cafetiere, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Exploring this lovely apartment further, you will find two comfortable bedrooms: a double and a twin. There is also a shower room with WC.

The property overlooks the garden and duck pond. Outside, the courtyard is shared with the other apartments on-site, and there is garden space just a step from the lounge door. Here you can sit with a drink, have a BBQ on a warm summer night and watch the comings and goings of the many resident ducks and pond life.

Its been a fantastic week in Cartmel. Great location and walks from the cottage. Recommend if walking into village, go pass the hotel on the road, 100yrd opposite the cottage is a footpath across the fields to a quieter road leading into Cartmel pass the racecourse.
