Activities range from leisurely boat trips to open-water swimming, fell walking, cycling, canoeing, and sailing. Those with an interest in culture and history are also well-catered for in the area, with the stately home at Sizergh Castle lying six miles south of the property and is a fascinating destination for a day out, particularly when coupled with a stop at Sizergh Barn, a fantastic farm shop and tearoom, which is also home to a fun and educational farm trail.
Stepping through the apartment’s private entrance, guests will come first to a garden room which provides them with a lovely place to sit back and enjoy the views across the garden. This room, in turn, leads onto the spacious lounge/diner, an elegantly styled room with two comfortable sofas, a roaring log fire, and Smart TV and DVD as well as super-fast fibre broadband. The dining area is situated at the opposite end of the room, and makes the perfect space to enjoy leisurely meals in the evenings. Next to the dining area, the kitchen is well-equipped and offers an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The apartment has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both tastefully finished to a high standard. Guests have a choice between a shower room with WC, and a bathroom which has a shower over bath and WC.
Outside, the shared riverside gardens are an attractive place to sit out and enjoy the tranquillity of the location. There are benches dotted about to give guests a quiet space to sit, but please be aware that the river is not fenced. There is parking provided for two cars and there is bike storage available.
