Simply beautiful garden apartment, offering elegant accommodation for two guests, enjoying access to the extensive landscaped gardens of this Grade II listed Georgian Manor House.

This apartment is situated in the former mill village of Spark Bridge, which lies right on the southern border of the Lake District National Park. To the south of the property, the market town of Ulverston is a vibrant place with a good range of shops, as well as some attractive historic buildings including Coronation Hall, the town’s spectacular 630-seat theatre. To the north, meanwhile, the largest of the region’s lakes, Lake Windermere, is a wonderful place for a day trip, offering several enjoyable pleasure boat trips, as well as watersports, scenic lakeside walks, and the chance to visit Wray Castle and the viewing point at Claife Heights.

This simply stunning apartment allows guests to enjoy their own space in a Grade II listed Georgian Manor, where many of the original features have been beautifully restored to their former glory and sit alongside stylish contemporary furnishings. The open-plan living space is an elegant light-filled room, where the large L-shaped sofa is perfectly positioned to allow guests to enjoy both the views across the gardens and the TV. Behind the sofa, to the rear of the space, the sleek and glossy kitchen area is equipped with everything that guests will need for their stay including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, whilst a breakfast bar and stools provide a dining space. The king-size bedroom has been finished to the same high-standard as the main living space, offering carefully-chosen furnishings, a feature fireplace, and a large picture window affording guests uninterrupted views across the landscaped grounds. There is an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC, as well as a separate bathroom which can be found downstairs on the lower-ground floor of the apartment, offering a bath, separate shower, and WC.

French windows open from the lounge area directly out onto a private patio where garden furniture allows guests to easily enjoy alfresco meals. This space opens out onto the impressive shared gardens, comprising extensive lawns and even an ornamental fountain. There is off-road parking for one car and space to store bikes in the apartment’s lower hall.

The accommodation and location were beautiful and exactly as the photographs. Well maintained, good linen and bathrobes were nice. Well appointed bathrooms and good kitchen. Wifi was variable at best, but it is a rural occasion so that's understandable. No toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, milk, soap per bathroom as you might expect from other holiRead moreday lets so suggest taking these. The apartment is really attractive with gorgeous views from all windows. It was very clean and tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable and wardrobe space excellent with plenty of hangers. Spacious apartment that is extremely comfortable. The garden is beautiful & we saw lots of wildlife from the living room (deer, rabbits). If you are looking for a quiet location that provides easy access to the Lake District national park I would highly recommend this accomodation.
