Quiet, rural, green Cumbria . We spent a lot of our time just sitting in the garden and taking in the prace and the sun. Coniston is much quieter than Windermere and thete are pleasent walks to the Water and along its shores.

This is a really comfortable good base to explore the lake district from. It is very quiet and peaceful and the main road is very easy to get to. Coniston and ambleside are a short drive away and we would definitely stay again.

A cosy comfortable country cottage. Nice layout (love the open plan downstairs), exceptionally peaceful (just the sounds of bird song, lambs and the odd farm yard sound), perfect location and unexpected view of fells. We enjoyed several evenings of sitting outside watching the sunset. Comfy beds.
