Lovely cottage, very well equipped and well suited for a family of 4 with a dog. It is a steep and scary drive up to the car park, but once there everything is perfectly set up. The garden is lovely, and we even had a meal outside once (weather permitting). Nice and well fitted-out kitchen, small but cosy living room, and a master and two smaller bRead moreed rooms upstairs. Only one toilet/bathroom but we managed well. Town centre is a short walk with a fish-and-chips shop on the way. Hide

A great view of Coniston and a nice big lounge, but access road very narrow and steep- difficult for a large jeep. Could not fit two cars in the parking space. Garden was not fully fenced so dog could escape and was very steeply stepped so not good for small children.

This cottage is set at a very steep access road with a sudden sharp turn but is well worth the journey. The views are amazing and the cottage is an ideallic retreat at the end of a day exploring. It is a short walk from the lake and local shops. Everything you need is provided, even a very welcomed tray of tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival! The cRead moreottage is beautifully decorated with local pictures and ornaments adding to the cosy environment. Hide
