Located in the pretty village of Smarden, this light and spacious cottage has been stylishly decorated to create a perfect getaway for families or couples in rural surroundings.

Situated in the heart of the pretty Kent village of Smarden, this holiday cottage is within easy reach of the many local attractions such as Leeds Castle, Godinton House and Gardens and Hush Heath vineyard. This stunning pocket of the Kent countryside is home to many quaint villages and market towns such as Tenterden and Cranbrook where independent cafes, restaurants and antiques shops can be found. The village of Smarden boasts a wonderful village art gallery, shop, local butchers and two traditional pubs, perfect for enjoying a spot of refreshment after one of the many local walks on offer that can be reached directly from the rear of the cottage.

Enter the cottage into a small hallway where there is space to leave your boots and coats before continuing through to the light and airy lounge/diner. With two comfy sofas, an armchair and TV/DVD this is the perfect place to curl up and watch a good film after enjoying a family meal at the dining table which can accommodate six guests. The well-equipped kitchen offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Stairs from the hallway lead up to a choice of three bedrooms, a double with TV, wonderful views overlooking the countryside and an en-suite shower room with shower and WC, a further double and a twin bedroom. The large and impressive bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Patio doors from the lounge open out onto a patio with fantastic views of the pretty garden and rolling countryside beyond. A patio table and chairs are perfect for al fresco dining, whilst the decked area with a bistro table and chairs offers a spot to enjoy the morning sun. A gate at the end of the garden offers direct access onto the local footpath network.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A lovely cottage in a wonderful little village. Local pubs are friendly and inviting and within walking distance.

Modern well equipped. Comfortable beds decent sized twin beds all bedding lovely. Quiet location but very central to visiting all places of interest. The Flying Horse was a bonus with excellent food and friendly staff.

Lovely comfortable house in a beautiful village location. Everything you need for a relaxing break. Smarden is a beautiful unspoilt village with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Would certainly love to hire this house again.

lovely property and provided all the essentials for the break. Good living space and great bedroom sizes. Thoroughly enjoyed walking out the back gate into the meadows with the dogs. Very small and quiet village with great walks. Only downside for us was no local shops to get a newspaper but the local butcher sold fresh bread and a few bits that weRead morere needed. Hide
