For more cultural days out both the fascinating history of Bletchley Park, the renaissance style chateau at Waddesdon Manor and grade I listed Stowe House, school and landscaped gardens are some of the National Trusts' finest. Perfect family days out include Bekonscot Model Village and The Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery. Should a spot of retail therapy be desired the renowned Bicester Village luxury shopping outlet will satisfy even the most ardent shopper while easy access to London ensures the widest array of experiences can be found.

Arriving at the farmhouse you will enter the spacious hallway with space to store coats and shoes. Moving through to the lounge the bi-folding doors to the rear flood the room with light while providing great views over countryside. The large open fire creates a focal point and ensures even the coolest of evenings are warm and cosy for guests to relax in the comfy sofas and chairs, a great space to catch up with friends and family and plan the next day’s activities while any must see programmes can be watched on the TV/DVD. The open-plan kitchen/breakfast room is certainly a place for entertaining and likely to be the hub of the home with large dining table suitable for celebrating any occasion and bi-folding doors opening up onto the patio area with further seating. The kitchen with centre island is fully equipped for cooking for larger parties with an aga  oil fired oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. The games room with pool table and seating is ideal for any downtime and will be a hit with both adults and children alike. For those looking for a moment of quiet time to enjoy a good book or perhaps one of the available board games, the snug with sofa and chairs is an ideal choice to separate from the main group. The ample garden offers a variety of options for those who enjoy spending time outdoors. The orchard area is a haven for wildlife, as is the small wooded area. The remainder of the garden is laid to lawn and is perfect for children and pets to run off any excess energy. The patio area provides a fantastic place to enjoy al fresco dining with a fire pit and garden furniture while admiring the views over countryside towards the castle. To the side is a driveway providing enough off-road parking for ten cars.

What a fantastic place to stay! Our extended family of 8 adults, 2 children and a baby had ample room and space to really enjoy our long weekend break. Despite the downturn in temperature, the house had great heating in all rooms. The Aga in the kitchen was different and fun, the American style double fridge was great too. Games were a plenty, the Read morepool table and piano were used a lot! Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, excellent bathrooms, would love to stay here again! Hide

We stayed at Chackmore Farmhouse for a family wedding and it was just perfect. There were 8 adults and 2 children in our party and we had more than enough space. The house was spotless and really well equipped. It made our weekend!

This was the perfect space and location for 10 friends to spend the weekend. The house was immaculate, but not so pristine that you felt uncomfortable using the facilities.

Susie met us and very helpfully guided us around and showed us how things worked. The setting is very peaceful, with the nearest visible building on the horizon, but you're only a few minutes away from Buckingham. Plenty of space for parking several cars, and plenty of garden to wander or play in. The house is amazing. Wow! We loved this property and had a fantastic weekend. We were a group of 8 adults, 2 children and 2 babies and the house was perfect. We had relatively poor weather but there was plenty of space for everyone indoors. Wed love to stay again!

We had an amazing family time at this wonderful farmhouse encompassing all our needs and much much more. Beautiful and well equipped farmhouse - perfect for large family party with two dogs. Easy access to Buckingham (rather nice town centre) and walking distance of Stowe. We enjoyed a fabulous weekend away with group aged from 14 to 67

We had a great holiday with family and friends in this lovely farmhouse. There was lots of room to spread out over the country kitchen, lounge and snug, and pool in the games room was very popular! We really enjoyed the peaceful location and local country walks. Susie was very welcoming and helpful, and we hope to return another year.
