This lovely cottage is in a great location for visiting many wonderful local attractions. Nearby is the quaint and picturesque village of Bamburgh, and you will be within easy reach of a glorious coast, with miles of white sandy beaches. Bamburgh is also home to magnificent castle and the RNLI Grace Darling Museum. Just a mile away is the charming village of Lucker, which boasts a village shop, gastro pub and pizzeria as well as a beauty spa with pool. There are a number of historic castles to visit including Dunstanburgh and Warkworth. Cragside is a great place to visit, and guests at this property can also enjoy free entry to Paxton House.

On entering this delightful converted stone built ground-floor studio-style holiday cottage for two, you will find yourself in the welcoming and attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area. With comfortable seating, TV/DVD, French doors, and a traditional wood burner, the bright and airy lounge is perfect for relaxing in at the end of a wonderful day. Exploring this lovely and light single-level property further you will also find a charming dining area with seating for two. Heading into the attractively designed kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with everything you may need including a fridge/freezer, electric oven and 2 ring electric hob, fridge, microwave, toaster and cafetiere. You will also find a comfy double bed. For storage, there is a built-in wardrobe with shelves. There is also a walk-in shower room complete with WC.

Stepping outside via the French doors, you can relax and dine alfresco in the enclosed patio/garden area and enjoy the stunning views of the local countryside.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Location more suited for a couple without a dog. No where near the cottage to walk your dog. It still is a great location to explore the Northumberland area, especially the coast. The cottage was clean but on the first night the bed linen felt a little damp. The electric shower was adequate but not very powerful. We enjoyed our stay in this small but comfortable little cottage in an ideal location. It was extremely clean and well maintained and had all the facilities required for a couple but would imagine trying to accommodate a largish dog here as well could be difficult. It is a cottage to accommodate dogs but there was nowhere to walk dogs at all unless you drove for a while in the car.

Stunning cosy little property perfectly based for driving to nearby attractions especially Craster, Alnwick, Bamburgh and the Scottish Borders. Be aware that if you wish to use the fireplace (but your own wood) that you must clean it out when leaving. Cottage/studio great. One big problem though. You can hear guests in adjacent cottage ( not sure if it's 2 or 3) use the loo and not just flushing as the bathroom backs onto the cottage. This disrupted our sleep each night and not just because the flush is very noisy Some better sound insulation is required. The cottage is in an ideal location, a short distance from A1, near the lovely villages of Lucker and Bamburgh. 1 Bamburgh Gate, was a delight. Extremely clean and everything you required was there. Small garden which was pleasant and car parking safe and secure. A short distance by car to beach at Seahouses and shops for provisions. The cottages next door were a little bigger. Especially if you have dogs with you.

We enjoyed our stay at 1 Bamburgh Gate, the cottage is well equipped and was great for a weekend stay. It's a short drive or cycle ride to Bamburgh. A beautiful open plan cottage about 4 miles from Bamburgh. A few minutes from the A1 therefore excellent access to all that Northumberland has to offer. Plenty of dog friendly pubs nearby. The cottage was beautifully clean and well maintained with clear information on the area and facilities within the cottage. Would definitely book again.
