Situated close to a traditional harbour in a picturesque coastal village, this lovely cottage makes a fantastic base for exploring the beautiful coastline and countryside of Northumberland.

This delightful property is located just a few streets away from the charming traditional harbour in the lovely coastal village of Seahouses. The village offers visitors a range of shops, coffee houses, restaurants, fish and chip shops, pubs and a golf course as well as popular boat trips to the picturesque Farne Islands. Beadnell is just a 5 minute drive away or a scenic bike ride and features a beautiful, horseshoe shaped bay which is stunning at any time of year with a range of water sports available throughout the summer. Bamburgh is another popular and historic coastal village a short drive away, with an atmospheric castle and the RNLI Grace Darling Museum. You can also take a trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

On entering this charming holiday home you will find yourself in the tastefully furnished and welcoming lounge. With comfy furnishings, Smart TV and a traditional wood burner, this is an ideal space to relax in after a fantastic day out exploring this wonderful area. Stepping into the kitchen/diner, you will find a delightful dining area, and the attractively designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, under counter fridge and freezer and a slim dishwasher. You will also find a ground-floor WC. Going up to the first floor you will find two cosy bedrooms. There’s a comfortable double room with Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom complete with shower over the bath and a WC. There’s also a comfy twin bedroom with TV. You will also find a shower room with a double headed electric shower and WC.

Stepping out from the kitchen you will find the rear enclosed patio area. A door leads into the garage where you will find the washing machine, stone sink and large floor drain ideal for washing surfing equipment and dogs. The garage also features some games equipment including a dart board and table tennis table. There is also room for one small or medium sized car in the garage, or directly outside.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The heating was a problem all the time we were there. It either came on in the night very hot and not in the evening or didn't come on at all. We changed the thermostat manually according to the tenant's manual but still it seemed to be set all wrong time wise and we had no control over that. Someone did come to look at it and went into the garage Read moreand reset it all but I think the timer was not reset. We would not stay again in view of the above 2 comments Hide

Excellent cottage spotless. New kitchen equipment looked as though never used. Location a few minutes walk from shops cafes and pubs. Would love to stay again.

The cottage is ideally situated just a few minutes from the center of Seahouses. It is comfortably furnished with all that a family would need for a holiday. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived, with towels included. The garage was secure and lockable which was ideal as we used it to store bikes etc.

The cottage was really close to the shops and beach, everywhere was very dog friendly around the area. The cottage had lots of nice touches from tea and sugar, too a dog bowl and dish washer tablets. No 1 Weatherly Street managed to be cosy without feeling cramped. In a cold and windy week in early May we greatly appreciated the well-fitting windows and doors! The stove was nice to use, but the central heating was very good and we didn't really need the extra heat. Lovely cottage, immaculate, everything seems to be very recently refurbished to a high standard. Plenty of space for a family of 4 plus our dog, and equipped with everything we needed. Very convenient for the harbour and town, but tucked down a quiet back street.
