Located at the southern edge of the peaceful seaside hamlet of Low Hauxley, this light property is a short walk from popular Amble. With plenty of restaurants, bistros, ice cream parlours and cafes, Amble is perfect for enjoying a restorative meal after a long day of touring. Also, within easy reach is Warkworth village, home to medieval castle ruins, and a range of independent shops, galleries and eateries. Set out on foot to explore Low Hauxley Nature Reserve or have a go at the range of water sports available at the Coquet Shorebase Trust Water Sports Centre.

Inside, the accommodation is bright and spacious with a comforting home-from-home feel throughout. The kitchen/diner is a light and airy room with modern units, a large dining table and a patio door to the enclosed patio. Elsewhere, on the ground floor are two well-presented bedrooms, one twin and one super king-size with dressing table and French doors opening onto the patio. The bedrooms share a downstairs shower room. Upstairs, the lounge is a fantastic room with wooden flooring, comfortable seating, TV and patio doors opening onto a sunny balcony with sea views. On the first floor, a super king-size bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom with shower. A double bedroom is accessed via the balcony and features a luxury en-suite bathroom with large shower cubicle and separate bath, offering an additonal private space for a further two guests at an extra cost.

Outside there is a large, enclosed Indian sandstone patio with table and chairs for enjoying al fresco meals in the sunshine. There is also a secure shed for storing bikes, diving equipment and wetsuits within the patio area.

Don't have any doubts about renting this property. The place is spotless. Dogs welcomed with open arms. Situated in a wonderful location only 50yds from the beach. Lovely and warm, the owner is superbly friendly, as well as people who live in closeby amble. Don't miss out its worth it.

Great location ideal for dog walking and access to the beach. Plenty of space throughout with stunning views of the sea and kitchen well equipped. Welcome pack was a nice touch and the owners were welcoming and extremely helpful. Very comfortable house with beautiful furnishings. Friendly and helpful owners next door happy to give suggestions but they're not intrusive. Our 3 dogs absolutely loved the wonderful beach. We took 45 minutes to walk to Amble but it's only 10-15 mins drive. Several supermarkets and good places to eat only 10-15 minute drive. We enjoyed the Puffin Read morecruise and were lucky to see young seals and dolphins too. Also enjoyed Warkworth castle & village, Alnwick gardens and Barter books. Hide

This property is in a fabulous, beachside location and is a credit to the owners, who have created it and made it so comfortable and keep it well maintained. We had a lovely few days and gorgeous weather to boot! Really hope to be back again soon.

The house is in a prime position for the beach and its not far to travel to see all the castles in the area like Bamburgh Alnwick and Warkworth just a short drive away. The beach is so beautiful and clean great for a morning run or just a stroll with the dog .We had a lovely week , the beds are huge and very comfy and we made use of some of the gamRead morees in the games and book cupboard. Ade the host lives just next door and very helpful for finding a great local pub or just a friendly chat Hide

Great location , with ideal beaches and sand dunes for dogs . Beachcombers Cottage is high quality in every respect , it is a credit to owners Ade and Lorraine who rebuilt and extended it from a derelict shell several years ago.. I have no hesitation in recommending it .

This house is in a fantastic location for beach, getting to Amble and nearby attractions. If you have dogs with you, its on a no through road so theres no need to worry about passing traffic and you can walk down to the beach or into Druridge county park without keeping dogs on leads. Ideal.
