This characterful stone-built fisherman’s cottage enjoys breath taking coastal views – perfect for a seaside family getaway.

Forming part of a row of cottages overlooking Craster harbour, this property is ideally located for exploring the picturesque village of Craster. World-famous for its smoked kippers that are still prepared in the traditional way by the original company, Craster also boasts a well-stocked cafe/general store and an art gallery. Or head south towards Cullernose Point, a fine example of the basaltic cliffs this area is famous for.

The warm and welcoming accommodation offers a cosy bolthole from which to watch the ever-changing seascape outside. Prepare and enjoy meals in the traditional-style kitchen/diner, which is fully-equipped for rustling up delicious meals of local produce while away. At the end of a long day on foot, snuggle up in the cosy lounge beyond, which features comfortable sofas, a TV, DVD, CD player and radio, an electric fire and a pretty window overlooking the sea. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double with coastal views from two windows and one light and airy twin. The bedrooms share a modern tiled bathroom with overhead shower.

To the front of the property there is a shared lawn area with benches for enjoying al fresco drinks while watching the comings and goings of the harbour below. To the rear of the cottage is a further shared lawn area together with a patio with table and chairs for al fresco dining.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This cottage is in the most perfect location. It was wild and windy weather throughout our stay and we enjoyed watching the dramatic sea through the windows. The cottage was warm and cosy - perfect to return to after a day out in the wind and the rain. Its a very short walk to an excellent pub (The Jolly Fisherman).
